Oh no. Just channel hopping and realised lovely Gareth Malone is doing his 'choir' thing again-and I have missed the first half. I didn't even know it was on. Sad

That was bloody brilliant. When they sang for Gareth I was blubbing, then never really stopped. Encore!

but in a good way.

Many tissues used this evening! DD came in from the other room having watched I'm a celebrity and was most concerned to see me in tears! She really couldn't understand why a programme about choir singing had made me cry so much my eyes were red! Grin

What a fab song by Paul Mealor- such a talented composer.

Sparklingbrook · 21/11/2011 22:28

After hearing Sam I don't think I am anywhere near good enough for the MN choir let alone a solo. Sad

Are they going to bring it out as a single? I think it was beautiful, I want to buy it!!!

Sparklingbrook · 21/11/2011 23:48

I would buy it too. It would be good if they did, maybe to raise money for Help the Heroes.

Hands of Gareth, he's mine.

Sparklingbrook · 21/11/2011 23:55

Oi startail I started this thread so I think you will find he's mine. Unless you are indeed Mrs Malone in which case I apologise for any innapropriate comments made about you husband in this thread. Blush

Ah, feck. I forgot this was on. Wonder if it will be on international iPlayer.

Fuzzywood · 22/11/2011 08:40

Last night was just fab. Does anyone know if the chior is going to keep going? They were fantastic and Sam, just wow!

fergoose · 22/11/2011 08:50

i think they will carry on - search for Military Wives Choir on facebook. People are saying they should release their song as a single.

Sparklingbrook · 22/11/2011 09:01

I would buy the single.

stickytoffee · 22/11/2011 09:05

Chris Evans played the song on Radio 2 on my way to work this morning and it set me off again - I would buy it - proceeds to charity...it could be the single to knock the x-factor schmultx off its top spot.

Sparklingbrook · 22/11/2011 09:15

Would make a great Christmas number one. Smile

< ....... >

speechless emoticon

Just heard it twice on Chris Evans in the car. Luckily I'd just pulled into my drive, or I'd have been driving through the tears.

He said it might be a christmas single.... here's hoping.

What a fantastic group of women, and that man, that lovely man, he is an inspiration.

Sparklingbrook · 22/11/2011 09:21

Even DH was crying watching the show. It completely blew us away.

WOW. WOW. WOW.

And when they did the Abba song for him, again, incredible!

Bugsy2 · 22/11/2011 09:26

Was amazing. Blubbed through the last 20 minutes. Sam was beyond awesome. Song was heart-breaking. They were all real stars.

foosty · 22/11/2011 10:40

AitchTwoOh · 22/11/2011 11:09

oh hahahah i'm off and it's not even ten minutes in...

tillytips · 22/11/2011 11:19

What a lovely thread to read, it makes a very rare change to have a whole thread about someone with nobody making nasty remarks and being vile.I love Gareth, i find him very inspiring, i cry at everything he does. He is certainly passionate about his job. All credit to the women, they were superb, especially Sam.

MmeLindor. · 22/11/2011 11:21

Blubbling already. Took me ages to get VPN up and running so I can watch iPlayer.

CMOTdibbler · 22/11/2011 11:22

It was sooo lovely. I was crying when Sam did her solo

Sparklingbrook · 22/11/2011 11:36

Have we found a celebrity that is universally loved on Mumsnet? I really hope so. Smile
