Oh no. Just channel hopping and realised lovely Gareth Malone is doing his 'choir' thing again-and I have missed the first half. I didn't even know it was on.

I watched and was totally in awe (again) of Gareth and all the ladies who plucked up courage to go along and sing in his choirs.

Yes I love him ! he really has his work cut out for him with those ladies - they seem a very fragile bunch

I watched them on the British Legion Festival of Remembrance - wow!

it's GREAT, isn't it? i wuv him. have seen a few eps now, he's so good with them and they ger SO much out of it.

Last night's episode was fantastic. And what about Sam? Having finally plucked up the courage to do a solo, she was absolutely brilliant.

I wouldn't say they were fragile Jasper; you wouldn't survive as a Forces wife if you were. They are on edge the whole time though, as they are always dreading that knock on the door. I found it hard when my dh was at sea; and when my db was in Afghanistan it was tough, and he wasn't out on patrol like these ladies husbands are.

It is great though that this gives them a focus and something to take their minds off for a short while what is happening.

I'll join the MN choir! I want to cuddle Gareth.

Yes he has begat child. I had no idea.

Obviously so has Elton John so that's not exactly definitive, but he is also married to the mother of the child

In the first programme lots of the women arrived at the choir recruitment bit with children and/or babies. Do you think that the BBC organised childcare to enable the women to rehearse and go and sing at their performances? Or did lots of friends and family rally round?

I started this thread because I was fed up I missed the first ten minutes of the first one. I completely forgot it was even on yesterday. Off to look if it's on I player yet.

another Gareth fan here. have watched all his choir programmes and love his kindness, his bravery and the way he empowers those who see themselves as useless. Is he older than 12? should he be begatting children at his age?
I'll join the choir although I couldn't carry a tune in a bucket....however my secret weapon is DD2 who is lead soprano in the regional schools choir . Obviously she doesn't get her talent from me.

I luff him too, the episode last night was great, very moving may have cried just a little He was very sweet talking about his baby too bless.
Must remember to watch next week.

I wonder if he has any bad points? He comes across as such a lovely man and he is so inspiring.
