Thought would start a thread for us lovers of walking dead and other zombie/horrors :)

about a family who relocate to LA to escape their troubled past and find their-selves in a haunted house

apparently there is a weird gimp suit in the attic Grin, something unspeakable in the basement, and unwanted guests both dead and alive

I don't think Tate is a good person/ghost. IMO he is extremely manipulative. Seen all of the first series now as we downloaded it all and I like him less and less with time. I'd still give him one though

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/01/2012 14:51

maybe there are all dead - like six sense lol

I hope we find out about Ben's past, Larry etc - it's all the little loose ends that I can't fathom out. Wish I could just watch all the other episodes now!
Does anyone know if there's a website where you can do that?

limitedperiodonly · 07/01/2012 19:59

If you select individual episode pages on IMDB there are detailed synopses written by geeks viewers. There wasn't one for the Rubber Man episode when I looked. I always look because I used to get confused at first. Plus I'm a geek too Grin

You must be able to download it but I don't know where. Not a very good geek, sadly.

MrsBradleyCooper · 08/01/2012 08:12

Limitedperiodonly - they've got really good synopses and commentary from the directors and cast on the Wikia page.
I tried to watch it on the FX site, but it won't let you watch it in the uk Sad

MrsBradleyCooper · 09/01/2012 11:11

Looking forward to tonights episode - have been really good and havent looked ahead so no idea what it's about!

PersonalClown · 09/01/2012 11:12

I've finally caught up and watched it all. I have spoilers/details if anyone would like to know!!

PersonalClown · 09/01/2012 11:13

Oh and I have a few good streaming sites if you've missed any episodes.

MrsBradleyCooper · 09/01/2012 13:31

Where did you watch it personal clown? I'm so impatient but would rather watch it than have spoilers Grin

PersonalClown · 09/01/2012 13:35

Here's a good site.
Just click on the episode you want, then choose the video host.
I find Videoweed to buffer quiet well.

MrsBradleyCooper · 09/01/2012 21:16

Thank you that's just what I was looking for Smile

limitedperiodonly · 10/01/2012 14:32

Another good episode. I'm beginning to worry the finale will be a let-down. Please don't spoil it for me though.

This week's question: why do Hayden, Nora, old Moira and the school students Tate killed have death injuries while none of the others does?

It doesn't really matter if it's a mistake.

MrsBradleyCooper · 10/01/2012 15:04

I've just finished watching the series - as soon as I had watched one on that streaming site, I couldn't stop!!

All I will say to those who have yet to see it is that next week is a really good episode....

Re the injuries - do they not make people see what they want them to see?

I'm sure Hayden flits between having injuries and not having injuries does she not?

limitedperiodonly · 10/01/2012 15:34

That sounds right.

Hayden usually has bruises on her arms but you're right, she used to have a bloody nose too but she doesn't have that when she wants to pretend to be alive.

Moira changes depending on who she wants to manipulate. Maybe it suits her now to let Ben see her as old.

Nora killed herself but blanked it out so might not have realised she had a hole in the back of her head until Hayden told her.

I'm warming to Hayden even though she kills people. And Constance too. Ben is horrible.

I'm glad you said it carries on being good. I love it. Must get on with work.

Halbanoo · 10/01/2012 17:52

Hayden is crackers--love, love it!

But I'm really starting to get the feeling that the ending is going to be a disappointment (just as the reveal of RubberMan was) That'll teach me to stay off the discussion boards. I'm avoiding the spoilers but the theories they've spouted all along have all been true.

Last night's episode (Black Dahlia) was the first one that didn't genuinely creep me out either. Kinda bummed :(

MrsBradleyCooper · 13/01/2012 21:00

I have so many questions I want to ask but may need to wait until you've all seen all the episodes and then we can have a proper discussion.

southeastastra · 13/01/2012 21:04

it's a fab series, i don't want it to end!

MurielTheActor · 16/01/2012 14:26

Jessica Lange won Golden Globe for her performance Grin so happy Grin

MrsBradleyCooper · 17/01/2012 08:33

What did everyone think of last night's episode?

Halbanoo · 17/01/2012 08:41

Loved last night's episode. Twisted and incredibly sad (those little girls in the basement really got to me).

Jessica Lange earned that Golden Globe, and then some. She's incredible.

MrsBradleyCooper · 17/01/2012 09:59

Totally agree re Jessica L - she is fab. IMO she gets better and better as the series goes on. Does anyone know where you can see the golden globes - was it televised over here?

southeastastra · 17/01/2012 09:59

it was sad! golden globes are on E!

limitedperiodonly · 17/01/2012 11:15

Fantastic. When did Violet die? I can't remember which episode it was. I should have guessed she was dead but I hardly ever can.

If I guess the ending that's the sign of a bad film. I guessed the twist in Sixth Sense within 10 minutes. If I managed it, everyone must have Grin

MrsBradleyCooper · 17/01/2012 14:09

It was a few episodes back - I think maybe the one called Piggy Piggy?

I knew she was going to die as I had read it in a synopsis, but I didn't think that she had already died IYSWIM?

I did guess as soon as the truant officer turned up though.

I found it really sad too - even though I knew what was going to happen.

I do find it really interesting that these parents have lost a child, and yet they are unaware because she is still there. It really makes you think about death and the fact that it's only sad because of the thought of never seeing a person again. If we all lived in a house like that then it wouldn't really matter as much if you could still sit down at the dinner table with your loved ones Confused.

I wonder at what point Constance discovered the houses secret? Do you think she already knew before she killed Moira and her husband? Or was Beau killed first? The timeline confuses me.

limitedperiodonly · 17/01/2012 14:23

Maybe Constance found out in 1983 when she killed her husband and Moira. You don't see much of the husband but maybe Moira just turned up again.

But again, how did she get old? Or maybe she was already dead before she was shot by Constance, was old when she did die but assumed the different forms according to what she wanted to do.

If you know, do not tell Grin.

Wasn't it Larry who smothered Beau with Constance's permission/knowledge? That was after she killed Moira and Hugo, so if she did know because of that she'd know that Beau would come back and it wouldn't be a mercy killing.

It might be nice to have everyone around you, but not if you didn't love them Grin. Violet seemed a bit daunted at the idea of spending eternity with Tate.
