I've just seen a segment from the new series on The Culture Show, Brix and Lund are the only characters reprising their roles and there are less episodes than the first series, but according to Sofie Grabol it's on a higher level and more in depth! Cannot wait until next month!!!

So maybe it isn't him...

VivaLeBeaver · 19/11/2011 22:15

Who's poulsen, I'm confused.

VivaLeBeaver · 19/11/2011 22:16

Who's the guy in prison who had parole refused?

VivaLeBeaver · 19/11/2011 22:19

Ok, Paulson is the dead guy who visited the prison guy.

MelinaM · 19/11/2011 22:38

Raben is prison/institution guy.

HmmmHmm

Loving the red jumper and ulrik. Also Lund's mother's apartment. So want a mini-break to Copenhagen.

redroof · 19/11/2011 23:14

So glad there's a thread on this, although I'm not sure I'll keep up! So much to take in already. I'm sure there will be plenty of red herrings to follow! I do miss Troels, and Theis.

TarquinGyrfalcon · 19/11/2011 23:17

Ooooh, I enjoyed that.

I think Raben's father in law has been blocking his release.

ImperialBlether · 19/11/2011 23:23

Oooh I really enjoyed it but was so tired and not sure I understood the last 45 minutes! Will watch it again.

We were spoiled with series 1, I think, but I'm sure this will be just as good. I do miss Troels, though.

redroof · 19/11/2011 23:29

Tarquin I thought the same about Raben's FIL. The army are definitely trying to cover something up.... So many questions still! Can't wait until next week!

PommePoire · 19/11/2011 23:33

The clinical director of the institution seems to have a knack for saying the least helpful thing for her client's well-being, "ooh, you haven't got parole," "oh yes, your friend is dead...sorry" etc. causing him to kick off. Is she in cahoots with Louise's dad, Colonel Whatsit to keep Jens inside? Not that that will matter if he manages to escape through the sewers of course...

I've been completely sucked in by the modern Danishness of it all again, just like the first series. The constant coffee drinking. The fact that all the government buildings and people's homes have amazing designer lamps and light shades. Louise's dad, the Colonel, eating his dinner from beautiful modern ceramic plates and the green jug on the table. Lund's hotel room all minimal with amazing contemporary furniture.

I loved Lund's reaction to her mum re-marrying, she clearly didn't have a clue that announcement was coming. Her mum is destined to spend the entire series trying to have dinner with her daughter and being constantly staled lied Bengt in series one.

Ulrick = New Troels Wink

PommePoire · 19/11/2011 23:34

X posts Tarquin and redroof re: Louise's father!

TarquinGyrfalcon · 19/11/2011 23:35

PommePoire - i thought the director was working with/for Louise's Dad - by episode 2 she seemed to be goading him.

What's the betting that Lund misses her mother's wedding?

Raben = New Troels for me

icapturethecastle · 19/11/2011 23:51

Was it Lund's hotel not her mother's apartment (thought it looked different from last time) - I think I will be doing some redecorating already have danish sideboard in living room - call it killing chic.

Yes I think fil def in cohoots with director about keeping Jens in (no doubt probably wrong!). What about Buch couldn't get more an opposite to Troels!

Now watching terrible Pan Am!

muminlondon · 20/11/2011 08:10

It was fab to see Sarah Lund again - but this series is pacier and requires more concentration.

I also thought the clinical director was very casual with her bad news - 'and by the way, you haven't got parole, oh and your friend's been murdered ...'

RoginaInWellies · 20/11/2011 09:15

So, going by the previous series, we've probably already met the murderer (or will series 1 turn out to be a red herring?). And, like last time, I find myself distrusting everyone but Lund. And I'll also be very surprised if she manages to get to her mother's wedding.

Still not managing to even make out single words in Danish - Swedish seems much easier to follow, somehow.

PommePoire · 20/11/2011 11:49

Bah! Autocorrect be damned: I was trying to say 'I be her mum is danger of being constantly stalled like Bengt" not "staled lied Bengt" total garbled nonsense, sorry.

Right, Tarquin yes, you may be right there, the Colonel and the Clinical Director (who loks far too sweet to be true) must be in cahoots, also anyone else think that the very blond soldier, in the Colonel's immediate command, seems to have thing for Louise and therefore, cannot be trusted?

MelinaM · 20/11/2011 12:29

I thought that the blonde soldier looked rather sinister too Pomme! He seems to be only a background character at the moment, but he is definitely one to watch! Wink

I thought that apartment was a hotel too, but then Lund's mother mentioned "...people staying here" it must have had a refurb job!
