Just wondering what you are making of it so far!

Casting on the whole is very good, a few things have been changed but have been thinking of what is to come.

Not looking forward to seeing Viserys (even though he deserves it, the arrogant twat!)

Or worse what Theon does when he loses Rickon and Bran!!

My favourite portayal is definitely Peter Drinklage's Tyrion Lannister, he is fab!!

I am against signed copies.

At the rate he writes I think we should all agree that our friend George should be concentrating on writing books 6 and 7, not writing his name over and over again.

:o

katkit he is a good actor, thats probably why I hate Joffrey so much! Grin They're all good actors aren't they, I wasn't too keen on Sansa so much at the beginning but really felt for her in that last episode.

I have so many questions for those of you who have read the books! I don't think I can wait a whole year/wait to read the book myself. Is drogo really dead? What happens to Joffrey? Does Arya/Arry get found out? Why is Shae so important?

TrilllianAstra · 21/06/2011 15:39

I'll PM you, because people might not want to read the spoilers but might not be able to help themselves :)

KaraStarbuckThrace · 21/06/2011 15:48

It was a fantastic episode!

But in the book, Dany's hair was burned away!

I did notice the three men in the cage, but I am reading Clash of Kings atm so I was looking out for them. Poor Arya and poor Sansa!! Was wishing that Sansa had pushed Joffrey off the bridge!

And Sandor is getting more interesting, I wouldn't say he was compassionate towards Sansa but he does curb the worst of Joffrey's excesses.

Definitely looking forward to hearing about casting...

TrilllianAstra · 21/06/2011 16:22

Interesting review on the women of Westeros

pawsnclaws · 21/06/2011 18:35

Can't wait for the next series ..... I've just ordered the books for my summer holiday reading.

MrsRhettButler · 21/06/2011 19:10

I thought that kara, her hair was totally gone! I guess they did it so
she still looks 'pretty'

OracleInaCoracle · 21/06/2011 19:14

Im actually loving the sandor/sansa relationship. although I wish that he had told her about his bother in the series like he did in the book. Im glad that dany's hair didnt burn off though, it highlighted the supernatual element with her being totally unscathed.

LostInTransmogrification · 22/06/2011 19:52

Have been lurking so far and loving the series! I want to get the books but don't know whether to get the actual books or the kindle version. I don't get the opportunity to sit with a book often so was swaying towards the downloads but saw a review saying that they didn't include illustrations/maps which were key to the books. Has anyone any advice on which to get? I want to start reading straight away!

TrilllianAstra · 22/06/2011 19:55

Kindle is best for straight away as it arrives instantly!

LostInTransmogrification · 22/06/2011 20:17

Trilllian Kindle appeals as I could have the books right now, but if they dont have the maps ( the reviewer said they were basically text files) then am I missing out?

TrilllianAstra · 22/06/2011 20:45

This do you?

TrilllianAstra · 22/06/2011 20:46

You can just google "westeros map" (westeros being the name of their continent) and see loads :)

ILovePonyo · 22/06/2011 21:13

Trillian just wanted to say thanks for the link to the Atlantic reviews of GoT, some really interesting reviews on there.
When it first started I was a bit Hmm about the female characters, esp Dany, thought she would be a pretty but feeble type, often with boobs out. Wasn't I proved wrong in the last episode - yes she had her boobs out but she's kick ass now!

kara hope you and baby starbuck are well :)

TrilllianAstra · 22/06/2011 21:16

She was breastfeeding her baby dragons. If tha's not empowering boobage then I don't know what is.

KaraStarbuckThrace · 22/06/2011 22:53

Breastfeeding a shark? Coz that is why I am doing Grin

LostInTransmogrification · 23/06/2011 09:06

Ooh, thanks Trilllian I think I will go for the Kindle versions now!

MrsRhettButler · 24/06/2011 09:17

She wasn't actually breastfeeding in the series though was she? She was just holding them.

In the book she was feeding them

TrilllianAstra · 24/06/2011 09:19

One of them was definitely at her breast, it wasn't made clear. I saw it as feeding because that's what I thought it should be, but if you weren't expecting it you probably wouldn't see it like that.

If you see mums BFing babies in cafes often it looks like they are just holding them unless you decide to look closely.

ILovePonyo · 24/06/2011 20:35

That is indeed empowering Trilllian. It didn't look like bf in the series but I will have another look as have them all on SKy+ and am planning a GoT marathon soon.

(I have only just noticed your name has 3 'l's apologies for all previous misspellings Grin)

TrilllianAstra · 24/06/2011 20:43

I am only playing about with LLL, it's normally two Ls so let's just pretend that you know me and are calling me by my usual name :)

ILovePonyo · 24/06/2011 20:45

Ah oh yes, thats what I was doing Trillll :)

TrilllianAstra · 24/06/2011 20:46

No, she probably wasn't feeding the dragons in the series, but I'm going to pretend that she was because it's beautiful symbolism for how she has lost her baby and they are her babies now.
