Just wondering what you are making of it so far!

Casting on the whole is very good, a few things have been changed but have been thinking of what is to come.

Not looking forward to seeing Viserys (even though he deserves it, the arrogant twat!)

Or worse what Theon does when he loses Rickon and Bran!!

My favourite portayal is definitely Peter Drinklage's Tyrion Lannister, he is fab!!

I thought I was, Ponyo but it has stalled since Monday night :(
Hiopefully will get started again soon! Especially after a good night's sleep!

Barritan the Bold is the old Kngsguard knight who just got retired and had a good old rant about "a hall to die in, and men to bury me".

I think Cersei wanted him gone not because he is too old but because he is too honorable and not easy for her to control.

Trillian - yep, I agree totally about Barristan. He was horrified about what happened to Ned.

Wasn't the zombie creepy... but what happened with Ghost, was he pawing on the door outside of the room, because I thought he was in the room when Jon and Morment managed to escape.

Think wolfy got shut outside the whole time? Not sure how.. have Sky+ it might have to watch again :)

That was what I wasn't sure of coz he was scratching frantically at the door, but wasn't sure because he was trying to get out or in!
I have a feeling DH has deleted from Sky + already!

They repeated the whole series so far the other night, dp Sky+ them all "just in case" :)

Yh, he left the wolf outside but in the book the wolf helped them...

I know it's been said but it's a shame they couldn't have somehow made the wolves as big as they sound in the book

Definitely changed the scene from the book, iirc Ghost jumps in and kills the second white walker who was also missing from the scene...even though two bodies had been found earlier on.
I'm getting increasingly irritated with the way the direwolves aren't being shown, I almost wish they'd omitted them completely (although that would cause problems later on...)

I read somewhere they're having problems getting the doggy 'actors' to cooperate, hence the relatively few direwolf appearances, apparently next season they'll be doing them with CGI.

Also... does it annoy you that they've decided to scrimp on the CGI budget by just having ordinary wolves? They're DIREWOLVES fgs, twice the size and ten times as scary!

And Ghost is silent in the books, he never growls, barks, howls, etc.

It doesn't bode well for the dragons does it..... unless that's what they're saving the CGI budget for?

I have just started re-reading them!

They're not ordinary wolves, they're dogs bred specially to look like wolves.

Wolves are a lot more difficult to train.

Ah, that's just answered a question I had... they didn't look quite right for wolves but I couldn't place the breed. Even worse that they can't get them to perform then though isn't it?!

Finally got around last night to watching Monday's episode - have been a bit busy having a baby and all

It was very well done, Joffrey is now showing his true colours, Cersei is going to go absolutely ballistic knowing Robb has Jaime.

But poor, poor Dany

This weeks episode is the first time I've seen a new character since reading the book and shae doesn't look like I pictured! She looks too pointy and older! I'm waiting for book 3 now is that the last one until the new one is released?

Shae isn't as I imagined either, I thought she would look very young and innocent (but of course not be). She seems fun though.

I have a far more boring reason for lagging behind.... realised my assignment for OU is due next week and not the week after as I had thought and I haven't even gotten through the reading material yet [eek] dp has been ordered to play video games until I'm done so I don't get distracted by tv..... only problem is now I'm getting distracted by Wipeout

She is rather sassy, but I thought she would be younger too.

Summer, the next book to be released is the 5th one. I am reading the second.

Kara... that gets a lot worse as the books go on. By the most recent books you've almost completely forgotton what he did and you find yourself rooting for him most of the time
