No nail varnish is to do with how they check your vital signs - same with operations, I had had to have my false nails taken off before I had an elective CS so assume its all the same thing.

I had my mum in the hospital and she got right on my nerves, and I wasn't in any pain! Think we would have fallen out properly if I'd been having actual labour.

When I was induced with DD, the ward had an open door policy on visitors throughout the day. So in addition to my mum, I had my MIL there all day too. God, how I managed not to tell her to bugger off I'll never know. She meant well, but you're not really in the mood to be polite and chatty are you?
