He is awaiting trial/sentencing.

twirlymum · 14/02/2011 21:51

If he has been charged, but has not yet gone on trial, and was not given bail.

maxpower · 14/02/2011 21:51

Transition with DD I howled like a dog, literally threw my head back and howled, before trying to get off the bed to put my clothes back on and go home. I also demanded an epidural repeatedly and at a very loud volume.
With DS I screamed and told everyone I couldnt do it and I would do it tomorrow instead when I had had some sleep.

The rest of their births were completely calm and controlled (even when DH electrocuted me with the TENS whilst trying to show my mum ho it worked), I just lost it at transition. I have vague memories of hitting DH too when he tried to rub my back at the wrong time Blush

Thanks max.

nigglewiggle · 14/02/2011 21:52

"Remanded" means that you are kept in prison until trial. There are various reasons including - for your own safety, to protect the public, because there is a risk you will flee to avoid trial...

tomatoesontoast · 14/02/2011 21:52

I had a panic at transition too - I didn't know what was happening to me! I honestly can't remember my yoga teacher, NCT woman or any books explaining how it feels (i.e. like you're going to shit yourself)
I enjoyed the pushing stage though in a way - I felt very powerful and determined

MerryMarigold · 14/02/2011 21:52

My Mum was told not to push because the doctor was having his breakfast! (They were in a v small hospital abroad). She pushed anyway!

DuelingFanjo · 14/02/2011 21:52

did the hypnobirthing woman's mum say that pethidine wouldn't really be going against her birth plan?

Normantebbit · 14/02/2011 21:52

The crime he is accused of is serious enough for him to be imprisoned awaiting trial.

thefirstMrsDeVere · 14/02/2011 21:52

Haha they stuffed DC5 back up. I was most suprised at the time. He had the cord a bit tangled though. I think thats why they did it.

PaulaYatesbiggestfan · 14/02/2011 21:53

back on her back

maxpower · 14/02/2011 21:53

I enjoyed pushing too tomatoes (thought I was weird!)

hairymelons · 14/02/2011 21:53

I liked transition because my MW told me the contractions wouldn't get any stronger! I also I got a 10 minute break from cx before 2nd stage. Bliss.

Panzee · 14/02/2011 21:54

Ha ha ha ha! Can't talk, pushing! :o

juneybean · 14/02/2011 21:54

What's he doing all the way up in Aberdeen as well?

Good stuff PaulaYates, thank you! I have just written your words down to put in my hospital bag!

tilde · 14/02/2011 21:54

"I'm having a baby. It's rubbish."

Normantebbit · 14/02/2011 21:55

Aww at least she can talk to him, that's good.

GetOrfMoiLand · 14/02/2011 21:55

I do feel so sorry for her. What a horrible situation to be in.

MerryMarigold · 14/02/2011 21:55

I couldn't stand the gas and air thing when I was having a contraction.

maxpower · 14/02/2011 21:55

they took the G&A away when I was pushing

PaulaYatesbiggestfan · 14/02/2011 21:55

gas and air sucks

DingALongCow · 14/02/2011 21:55

Another who loved pushing too, it was the best bit for me.

twirlymum · 14/02/2011 21:55
