He was 9.5lbs.

OfflineFor30Seconds · 07/02/2011 21:34

Anathema - I was induced this time round. It was fine (well, no worse than DD1).

drivingmisscrazy · 07/02/2011 21:34

thanks for that Raven - I am obviously completely out of touch. He's just scared, isn't he?

giraffesisonadiet · 07/02/2011 21:34

My best friend has a heart condition and she had to have a section as too dangerous to go in to labbour. Maybe it depends on type of heart prob?

isthismadness · 07/02/2011 21:35

Ok this is now quite annoying and unhelpful!! Shut up during the contraction

Meglet · 07/02/2011 21:35

FFS. My twatty XP was a hell of a lot more supportive than Swindon bloke. Why on earth is he laughing.

isthismadness · 07/02/2011 21:35

Where is the hospital???

Dunoon · 07/02/2011 21:36

Good edit there midwife/pink woman

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 07/02/2011 21:36

These midwives spend a lot of time sat about in the staff room!

darleneconnor · 07/02/2011 21:36

AFAIK the earlier an epi is given the higher the chances of a cascade of interventions so it really is in the Mums best interest to delay it as long as possible. But this should have been discussed pre-labour and detailed in the birth plan. If a woman is prepared to take that risk then the mw should support her.

DuelingFanjo · 07/02/2011 21:36

I like him.

Meglet · 07/02/2011 21:36

Southampton.

NancyDrewHasaClue · 07/02/2011 21:36

Dunoon · 07/02/2011 21:37

Sara is out of it! Or knackered

wrigglerstea · 07/02/2011 21:37

Ooohhhh, I think now she's completely trashed pink t-shirt lady might actually do a bit better...

expatinscotland · 07/02/2011 21:37

Don't re-think, ng. If you want it, keep harping on it till you get it.

Don't be fobbed off.

I got fobbed off twice but got there in the end.

With DD1, I started harping away. The baby was back to front and had her hand up cupping her head above her ear. My first baby.

I wound up with H-F forceps.

I did have my second child with no pain relief.

Thank fuck that useless MW is gone!

Just wanted to drink tea and chat and text.

noeyedear · 07/02/2011 21:37

expat Ohhhh! Sorry, stupid head on- in my defence, have to do this in about 3 weeks and am a bit freaked out!
