Having had 2 x cs I'm so obssessed by this programme, watching what i missed!

MrsChemist · 10/01/2011 21:27

When you get on your back, it can be hard to move.
One of the community MW I met refuses to let her women go on the bed because she knows they stay there.

ThatVikRinA22 · 10/01/2011 21:27

aspie traits!!!? nah he is pure bred aspie!

changer22 · 10/01/2011 21:27

The MW is being lovely with Ralph.

expatinscotland · 10/01/2011 21:27

Oh, I'd have loved Ralph as a birth partner. He'd have kept my mind off things.

He's trying more than Steph's husband now.

juneybean · 10/01/2011 21:28

"NO ONE should be a midwife without having had a baby."

I didn't realise that was a requirement Hmm

CaveMum · 10/01/2011 21:28

[waves] to Aries, fancy seing you here [clinks glass].

Oo er, she's not handling it well is she [erm] that poor porter nearly jumped out of his skin!

MoonUnitAlpha · 10/01/2011 21:29

I really wish someone would get her up and moving about!

maxpower · 10/01/2011 21:29

it does seem mad that they've not encouraged Stephanie to try different positions

Cheeser · 10/01/2011 21:29
changer22 · 10/01/2011 21:29

Poor Steph's DH. That woman possessed thing is hard to see. I can remembering trying to throw myself off the trolley Shock.

drivingmisscrazy · 10/01/2011 21:29

yes I was a bit Hmm at telling Janet that they didn't know what they were going to do with her...

AnathemaDevice · 10/01/2011 21:29

I don't like the young midwife at all, she seems a bit wet.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 10/01/2011 21:29

Why are they just letting her thrash around on her back? I remember this annoying me in the previous series that they seemed to have everyone labouring on their backs.

5inthebed · 10/01/2011 21:29

Yes, Ralph would have been better than my DH, who decided it would be a good idea to try a game of connect 4 Hmm.

amandine07 · 10/01/2011 21:29

Janet seems so calm, you wonder if she is actually in labour...I want red-haired woman to get her epidural ASAP!!

headfairy · 10/01/2011 21:29

Last time I watched this programme dd was tiny (or was it ds? I know one of them was tiny because I was still bfing all the hours) and I had a massive milk let down when anyone delivered - I blooming hope it doesn't happen today, I'm still bfing just about, but I'm at work with no breast pads... going to be slinking around the office with two damp patches :o

Ooooo hello cavemum hello aries, not 'seen' you in a while.

Ralph is interesting isn't he. Grin

MrsChemist · 10/01/2011 21:30

Poor Steph Sad The MW in with her seems a bit... wet. She was practically whispering when she was telling her to calm down.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 10/01/2011 21:30

I am trying to decide between a VBAC and an ELCS. Hmm.

hockeyforjockeys · 10/01/2011 21:30

Janet isn't - they've induced her but nothing has happened yet

GwendolineMaryLacey · 10/01/2011 21:31

I was on my back all the way through and agree once you're there it's impossible to move. I'd as likely have flown to the moon that night as been able to get off the bed.

It's very much on my mind at the moment, it's dd's birthday today so am reliving it a bit.

IAmReallyFabNow · 10/01/2011 21:31

I got told off for screaming with dc3. She said I would have a sore throat. She was right Grin. But it did hurt.
