Anyone watching?

OP posts:
stripeywoollenhatwithbellson · 10/01/2011 21:23

she really needs to try squatting or something, this woman

drivingmisscrazy · 10/01/2011 21:23

I don't get the lying down either; even highly interventionist very medicalised Irish hospitals let you do first stage in whatever position you like (2nd stage is another story...)

expatinscotland · 10/01/2011 21:23

'Oh, she could be 14!'

AnathemaDevice · 10/01/2011 21:23

I think if I didn't already have one, this would put me off childbirth for life!

headfairy · 10/01/2011 21:24

I keep thinking the red haired woman needs to get off her back... oh she's swearing, gotta be close now :o

Nevereatyellowsnow · 10/01/2011 21:24

Why the fuck is that mw not telling that woman to move around?!

ohmeohmy · 10/01/2011 21:24

Ralph you're trying but really not helping much

CommanderDrool · 10/01/2011 21:24

He's absolutely shitting himself isn't he.

Ariesgirl · 10/01/2011 21:24

Hello CaveMum

Making me a little sad that I was watching this time last year and just starting to TTC and here I am a year later, still without a sniff of a baby. Don't know why I'm watching really!

Ralph has possibly the most clear case of Asperger's I've ever seen Grin

ThatVikRinA22 · 10/01/2011 21:24

bless him! but how aspie is that boy! he knows the time they have been together to the day! and he is asking her while in labour if they have irish ancestry!

wrigglerstea · 10/01/2011 21:24

Screaming woman's husband is just sitting there listening to it. Didn't come to help her until she told him exactly what to do!

Alambil · 10/01/2011 21:25

why aren't they suggesting she moves position? (not Janet - Samantha)

expatinscotland · 10/01/2011 21:25

He's definitely got Aspie traits!

CommanderDrool · 10/01/2011 21:25

Not aralph the other guy

PuraVida · 10/01/2011 21:25

Get her up!!!!!

5inthebed · 10/01/2011 21:25

Her husband looks really bored!

wintersniffle · 10/01/2011 21:26

I'm due tomorrow, I probably shouldn't be watching but I find it quite compelling.

Alambil · 10/01/2011 21:26

also why don't they soundproof the rooms? surely more comforting for the other women!

Gleeb · 10/01/2011 21:26

I was like Steph before I even got to 4cm. Aah memories Grin

Whitethorn · 10/01/2011 21:26

Oh jesus, get Ralph out of the room. I think I would rather give birth to a 12lb baby without any pain relief rather than listen to him.

GET OFF THE BED STEPH

lostinwales · 10/01/2011 21:26

Reminds me of the woman in the bay next to mine when I was having DS3, I thought she was really selfish making such a hideous noise Blush. I do tend to get quieter and quieter the more pain I'm in though. I had DS3 in complete silence!

PrincessBoo · 10/01/2011 21:26

is it too late to join in? :o

I hate it when they tell them off for screaming. Not that I did, but I think she is right, sometimes making a noise can help pain.

ohmeohmy · 10/01/2011 21:27

for an alternative way to do it www.youtube.com/user/HypnobirthingVideos#g/f

Heathcliffscathy · 10/01/2011 21:27

'we don't know what the midwife in charge will want to do'.

that's what is wrong with maternity services in the UK. right there.

GwendolineMaryLacey · 10/01/2011 21:27
