Probably not. I fear we are stuck with him.

Even more people will vote for him after Cheryl sticking the boot in.

I thought that if I offered to send you choc you might refuse (don't ask me why I thought that, no idea) so offered to send your DD some instead. Will get a Swiss care packet together and send you something. Watch your inbox.

On X Factor 2 last night, someone called in and asked Cheryl if she regretted laying into Wagner and she said no and implied that some stuff had gone on back stage.

HouseOfBamboo · 22/11/2010 10:58

I'd lay money that Wanger absolutely said what he was reported to have said about Cheryl.

His 'denial' just smacked of trying to smarm out of it, he had a definite smirk on his face when he was saying going on about how he admired her for being such a role model yadda yadda.

Having said that his performances still make me laugh, sorry. Would much rather watch them than the dirgy dullsville ballads most of the rest of them churn out.

SuePurblybiltByElves · 22/11/2010 11:06

Did you see her face tho Electra?! So funny.

I don't like Wanger's singing but as I never vote, download the songs or buy the albums it doesn't really matter does it? Mr Cowell won't be losing much sleep over my opinion Grin

MrsPennyLane · 22/11/2010 11:07

I was annoyed that Paije left, but it was obvious that the others would save Cher. Dannii is the only judge who speaks any sense, imo

MrsPennyLane · 22/11/2010 11:08

I also think Cher looked pissed off when Katie was put through...

HouseOfBamboo · 22/11/2010 11:42

Sue - I don't ever vote (or buy) either, but I was thinking the other day that they still have to make the ITV show watchable even for the people that don't vote as the viewing figures will be important for their ad revenue etc.

SuePurblybiltByElves · 22/11/2010 11:46

True enough. Hence the tit grabbing dancers I guess Grin

lucykate · 22/11/2010 12:59

the talk on digital spy from someone who was in the audience last night...

"being the member in question, i can Say Cowell was no where to be seen so i'm not sure if he is as heavily involved in the decisions of the TV show as people make out. The producer didn't talk to him but clearly said Louis could not allow for a deadlock situation to occur. Louis looked visably upset and Dannii looked visably angry. Paije was standing literally 3 feet from them so must have heard it all, probably why he came out and gave his best performance by a mile.

Secondly, if you go to the show, you are made aware of the rules of the show and it states that the producers have the final say in the result, not the voters."

SuePurblybiltByElves · 22/11/2010 13:03

So he was sunk from the minute they told Louis no deadlock. I bet SC made himself scarce so that he wasn't associated with it.

nickstermum · 22/11/2010 13:07

so should we promote a vote amnesty then to scupper syco's profit, if they arent using the publics votes anyway, whats the point!

Summerbird73 · 22/11/2010 13:17

god that just makes me so riled

i knew once it got down to Wagner, Cher and Paije - i just knew what would happen. I feel so sorry for Paije as he delivered a cracking version of Stop which is one of my favourite songs.

Sad Paije Sad

HerBeatitude · 22/11/2010 13:39

Oh god surprise surprise, the votes are rigged.

I thought OFCOM were supposed to have come down on this sort of cheating? If Louis was specifically told he wasn't allowed to let it go to deadlock, then that is cheating, AFAIC.

MrsPennyLane · 22/11/2010 14:12

Surely they can't get away with that?? Shock
So they stopped it from going to deadlock to keep Cher in?

HerBeatitude · 22/11/2010 14:22

Sounds like it, doesn't it, if Digitalspy is right (which it might not be)

Yes they can get away with it by pretending that it was Louis' choice to keep Cher - he can deny he was leaned on, after all, he'll be sacked if he doesn't toe the party line

HerBeatitude · 22/11/2010 14:24

|OMG they are playing the X Factor version of Heroes on the radio right now, it is fucking abysmal. I can usually tolerate bad cover versions, but this one is curiously upsetting. I have so many fond memories of David Bowie, serious moonlight concert, Berlin wall etc. and these bastards have just come in and shat on them with their implacable grinning mediocrity. Grin

HouseOfBamboo · 22/11/2010 14:28

The public votes (and OFCOM rules) only come into play if the producers allow it to go to deadlock.

The judges are the producers' puppets. Their 'judgements, emotions, and opinions' are pretty much pure pantomime. IMO.

SuePurblybiltByElves · 22/11/2010 14:30

mmmmmm, David Bowie. Sex on a skinny white stick.

misdee · 22/11/2010 14:36

knew paije would go soon as we knew he was in bottom two.

such a shame as he is a great singer.

will settle for spotting in the HP films now.

Tootlesmummy · 22/11/2010 15:33

If DigitalSpy is right then it proves it is a fix.

Right then the only way to screw over the producers and the judges is for Flakey and Mini Me to be in the bottom 2 and that'll then give them a decision to make.

HouseOfBamboo · 22/11/2010 16:18

It's not a vote fix though in terms of who gets saved from the bottom two. They don't pretend that the one with the most votes always gets saved.

The show's rules are fairly clear that who goes is the judges' decision - not the public's - unless the judges 'choose' to go to deadlock.

If there's an element of deception it would seem to be about the fact that the judges are allowed to exercise their REAL opinions (if indeed they have any).

Tootlesmummy · 22/11/2010 18:18

House, if what DigitalSpy says is right then it is a fix if they make sure it either does or doesn't go to deadlock.

If on Saturday night Mini Me was bottom then they are ensuring she doesn't go by effectively telling Louis who to vote for. That in my book is fixing who stays and who goes.

braveandcrazy · 22/11/2010 20:32

According to the phone vote leaks on Twitter Paige was bottom and would have gone anyway. Who to believe?

whomovedmychocolate · 22/11/2010 21:23

Right.....what can we do instead next Saturday because I'm bored of all this now? We could go raiding a geek forum instead? Ask them lots of questions about whether cables come in pink? Grin

SuePurblybiltByElves · 22/11/2010 22:29

We could jam the lines to ITV2 question bit and ask them questions about their favourite tinned food.
We could start a Thread of Repentance alongside our usual thread, every time you say something mean you have to go on t'other thread and think of something nice to say.

I'm going out actually, don't know why I'm bothered Grin
