Probably not. I fear we are stuck with him.

Even more people will vote for him after Cheryl sticking the boot in.

You copy and pasted all der norti fings wot we said about Cher, Lougle. You must expect someone to think you're a bit of a numpty.

Lougle · 21/11/2010 22:20

I'm not taking the X-factor seriously, I am taking personal attacks levelled at a child seriously. This is a circular argument, isn't it? The fact is, it isn't words on a screen, because there is a real person who may just read this thread, or it could be used in a newspaper article, as other threads have been, and then that real person will be hurt.

Anyone who can read that list of quotes and say that they would not be hurt, at 17 years old, or any age, to read that about themselves, is quite unusual, I think.

Katiekitty · 21/11/2010 22:21

Cher Lloyd for a MN Webchat!!!!!!

Tortington · 21/11/2010 22:21

not lower class - working class.

Tortington · 21/11/2010 22:23

i thik 17 is a child. i have two 17 yos and i think it is

i was married and had a kid at 17. i was a child

cupcakesandbunting · 21/11/2010 22:24

Oh big fucking titties.

I'm sure she'll be boo-hooing into her bed of fifty pound notes when she reads that we think she looks a bit riffy and wears dodgy doible denim.

Lougle · 21/11/2010 22:24

You all feel good because you are reassuring yourselves that you are not harming anyone, because everyone else is doing the same. Cher Lloyd is a child, in the eyes of the law, and I hope you feel good to be attacking a child who isn't even here to defend herself. Well done you.

MsSparkle · 21/11/2010 22:24

"Anyone who can read that list of quotes and say that they would not be hurt, at 17 years old, or any age, to read that about themselves, is quite unusual, I think."

If she wants to make it in the business, she will have to learn to take comments like those, which are pretty tame compared to other stories written, on the chin. Otherwise she will crumble in the music business.

I haven't even said anything personal about Cher. I have just said i don't like her singing voice, which i don't.

cupcakesandbunting · 21/11/2010 22:27

I don't feel good about reassuring myself about whatever it was you said. I couldn't give a fig if she reads this and gets hurt feelings. She's vile.

SuePurblybiltByElves · 21/11/2010 22:27

Cher will only read this if she self-googles. And we'll be on page 18 of t'interweb, behind a lot worse.

When I interact with real people in RL I take into account their feelings. When I talk on MN about people who put themselves up to be judged because they want the sleb life then I'm a lot bitchier. We're not attacking a child who is not here to defend herself, we're bitching about somone who is, every week, touting for popularity and public opinions. Actually, we bitch about all of them.

MsSparkle · 21/11/2010 22:29

Well i'm supporting Katie so i'm already a minority on here.

SuePurblybiltByElves · 21/11/2010 22:29

Ahem.

cupcakesandbunting · 21/11/2010 22:29

This thread reminds me of this;

MsSparkle · 21/11/2010 22:31

Sorry, me andSuePurblybiltByElves are supporting Katie so we are already a minority on here.

VivaLeBeaver · 21/11/2010 22:31

Why were people booing Mary when it was announced that she was through? Was suprised at that, I thought she was good.

SuePurblybiltByElves · 21/11/2010 22:33

Grin. Well, actually I'm still slagging her too but less so.

Were people booing Asda Mary? That surprises me. Not cos she was good (not a fan) but I thought she was popular.

cupcakesandbunting · 21/11/2010 22:34

Katie looks like Captain Scarlet with that frigging hair and eyelashes.

cupcakesandbunting · 21/11/2010 22:35

Asda Mary. Oh lol Grin

She'll be crooning on a Saga cruise ship in the new year, I would imagine.

MsSparkle · 21/11/2010 22:35

Thought she worked for Tesco?

VivaLeBeaver · 21/11/2010 22:36

Tesco Mary please. Grin

She probably will be on a cruise ship as I don't see her setting the charts on fire but that's got to beat being on the till at Tesco.

SuePurblybiltByElves · 21/11/2010 22:36

Stately as a galleon. And on one Grin. She's a nice lady I'm sure but I'm not a fan of the Bassey stylee.

cupcakesandbunting · 21/11/2010 22:36

yeah but she looks like she ought to work for Asda.

Katiekitty · 21/11/2010 22:36

Hmm, how much whie eyeliner has she used to achieve this look?

I wouldn't mind trying it out.
Might get me a seat to myself on the bus?
