Anyone watching? Kitchin guy is really scary - feel very tense watching!

The first chef (wasn't really paying attention) was a bullying twat. He just harped on and on at Ben til he broke down. The second one, who took the mentor approach, really showed him up.

I wasn't too impressed by the hygiene in Tom Kitchin's kitchen either. All the pans had burn marks on them and everywhere looked like it needed a really good scrub.

Both my favourites fell at the last hurdle, glad that the guy from the coal mining dynasty got through. My God but he shakes like a leaf. I really think that young girl should have got through, she was much better than that guy who was always late. I am sure the Big Liverpuddlian is going to take it.

I'm a bit miffed with the whole 'head to head' malarky at semi final stage.

Why do that at this stage? The first pair, Ben & Clare seemed to be of a higher standard than 2nd pair & so unfair one of them needed to go.

Am I taking this too seriously?

DH and I were saying exactly the same thing Goodnight. I'm rooting for the lady from Liverpool.

Was about to post exactly the same thing Bookcase totally unfair that Ben was eliminated.
I'm rooting for Claire too!

I haven't watched the whole series, but really like the young girl (Alice?) who got knocked out. I don't know anthing about the other woman but my vote is going for shakyDave.

I'm a tiny bit in love with Michel jnr. I love how he says the food looks "elli-gant". Swoon.

I'm rooting for Claire (?).

I like Alice too and I nearly cried when her soufflé didn't cook

I'm also routing for Claire.

Thought it was unfair that Alice got knocked out when she delivered on time and the other guy didn't.

Or rooting even.

I know - she was SO good in the kitchen under pressure, and delivered on time and everything.

It was that soufflé that did it I think - even OCD Michelin bloke seemed impressed with her.

Maybe he'll give her a job

I was surprised that the shakey guy got put through. He clearly can't handle pressure.

exactly conkie - that soufflé was the first one she's ever cooked. She seems to have learnt a lot through the series so I can't see any reason she couldn't have mastered a soufflé after another go or two.

Utter madness imo.

What is it they say - if you can't handle the heat - get out of the kitchen

I imagine the final has been filmed already. Who knows if Shaky Dave won?

Dh was a bit annoyed that I was so peed off that Ben went. What's not to like? Oh, and he can cook too [hwink]

Michel is lovely! He has such a kind face and looks so well, sort of wholesome?! Effect of good food and idyllic life I guess!
I think Clare will win.

I'm sooo scared of Monica though.

Monica is what nightmares are made of! Why are chefs so bullying and mean?!

You I thought the self confessed OCD Michelin chef was going to be really horrid - he was actually quite nice in the end.

I love Monica's facial expressions when someone does something dodgy...

But I do love Michel, and Greg - they're far too nice to be involved in reality TV. They seem so delighted when someone does well.

I also am loving MC! It's great how it's truly about skill and not about being mean or playing the social game, in the way so much reality telly is. And I also love the fact that Michel R Jr and the others seem to actually like the candidates, certainly when they've done well. I think Monica can actually be nice sometimes - her face when people do things really well is a joy.

I think Clare could well win but I wouldn't be that surprised if Shaky Dave did. Shame about Ben, bigger shame about Alice - I hope she does get offered a job by Michelin guy!
