Anyone watching? Kitchin guy is really scary - feel very tense watching!

Wasn't that fantastic?! Thought her food looked gorgeous. (If she is on MN, do you think she'd do us a cookbook?) Mash and veg will in future be served at Madamplatz like that it may taste rather different

I wonder how pg she was when she did the programme. I only found out I was pg after I couldn't work out why I kept falling asleep

Yay! (another late Scottish person here ) So pleased for Claire. Think she's been the best of the three all along. But would probably have been pleased for any of them - it's so refreshing to watch a 'reality' TV where they all seem so nice, including the judges. Even the Michelin chefs all seemed to be rooting for them to do well.

I think John assumed he had won, felt a bit sorry for him when he didn't, you could see him waiting for his name to be called!

Delighted for Claire though! They should have had 3 joint winners though, they were all great!

celticlassie, totally agree. I loved it when the stern faces of the judges broke into a smile because it had all just worked so well! And you could see that by the end, the judges really liked the final contestants and wanted to see them do well.

It's a link from the Daily Fail unfortunately, but here Claire talks about what she wants to do next and about how her sense of smell while pg helped her to win! Also Michel R Jr has given her a job apparently, yay!

Ver sad. I saw half of the programme last night and then DH needed to watch Spooks that he had recorded. I am assuming that Claire won, I would have preferred shaky Dave, but she was a brilliant cook.
Maybe it will be repeated.

So glad she won but really really hope shaky Dave got a decent job, hadn't realised he'd given up his job to go in the competition.

I just googled him and he works at a pub called the Castle Eden Inn - hope it's a good place that really appreciates him! And hope it is a good stepping stone for him to open his own place sometime.

I really enjoyed the series and was delighted Clare won!!! Yes they were all great but she was so consistantly great and out performed the others in the professional kitchens.

Just read she was pregnant - funny as when I was watching last night I realised I knew very little about her & I was wondering if she was pregnant - an extra special achievement for her then.

It's great to know for some women heightened sense of smell can be a 'super power' - for me it just makes me wanna puke when I get a whiff of ciggy smoke from hlaf a mile away
