Starts this week in the US but airs here on Tuesday, 5th October 2010 at 10pm on sky 1. Will Olivia make it back from the other side??? Will it be any easier to understand?? Do we really care as long as Peter is featured prominently along with regular cow appearances which I felt were seriously lacking in the second half of season 2 Grin

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/03/2011 17:11

good point - i do need ecah episode being explained to me Grin

PfftTheMagicDragon · 10/03/2011 17:57

Fringe is my favourite show on TV at the moment. Am watching at US pace.

I think that it has actually become better than The X Files. So much more human and interesting. So much of it is so well done.

Anniek · 10/03/2011 19:29

I'm here Grin

Cannot wait for this to come back I've finally caught up with CSI, and am nearly there with Criminal Minds, so need Fringe to keep me away from day time TV (currently unemployed Sad )

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/03/2011 20:23

Yah. Annie is here - coz you know I need things explained Grin

Sorry you have lost your job :( hope new one comes about soon

PfftTheMagicDragon · 11/03/2011 07:31

The word needs spreading! Fox in the US recently moved Fringe to the Friday night death slot and the viewing numbers have fallen. It's not getting renewed at this rate!

Of course, none of this matters, as we don't live in the US, but still.

LostGirl · 11/03/2011 08:21

Sad sorry about the job AnnieK, hope something comes along soon.

Pfft, I just hope if it does get cancelled they give them a last series so that it can all be tied up properly with suitable answers and explanations.

Anniek · 11/03/2011 10:56

Thanks everyone Smile

hoping the network will realise their mistake over the friday night slot as Fringe was also voted favorite SF show in the people's choice awards..so fingers crossed Grin

PfftTheMagicDragon · 11/03/2011 12:33

I don't want it to end Sad

PfftTheMagicDragon · 11/03/2011 12:36

this page reckons that Fringe is likely to be cancelled, based on the ratings it is currently getting.

From what I've read, it could go either way. If the figures pick up, it could still get renewed. MAybe the People's Choice will help this

Blondeshavemorefun · 11/03/2011 12:54

true blood/dexter is on a friday night, though obv uk, and ratings are high

wonder why not the same for fringe in usa? :(

PfftTheMagicDragon · 11/03/2011 13:03

The Friday Night Death Slot even has its own Wiki page here.

US networks generally show repeats or films on Friday nights as shows generally are not successful. There have been exceptions (X Files for example).

Previous sci-fi victims of the slot:

The Adventures of Brisco County Jr. (1993)
MANTIS (1994)
Strange Luck (1995)
VR.5 (1995)
Sliders (1996)
Millennium (1996)
The Visitor (1997)
Harsh Realm (1999)
Brimstone (1999)
Freakylinks (2000)
Dark Angel (2000)
The Lone Gunmen (2001)
John Doe (2003)
Firefly (2003)
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (2009)
Dollhouse (2010)

Bumping for AnnieK to come and explain everything tonight Grin

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/03/2011 20:34

'gets excited'

Northumberlandlass · 24/03/2011 13:16

Hey, haven't watched last nights episode yet !

I THINK the last one I watched was when the other Broyles exploded in the back of the van...but I could be mistaken...I hope there is an extensive 'catch up'.
x

LostGirl · 24/03/2011 14:46

The last one was the episode with the bloke putting back together the freaky dancing puppet girl, and where Peter apologized to Olivia for not knowing Fauxlivia wasn't her, and Olivia saying that he should have known.

Anyone seen last night's yet? No cow but pretty good otherwise.
