Are all teenagers horrible?

All I seem to hear about teens is how awful, difficult and unlikable they are. Ds is only six and so loving and happy. Is it inevitable that he will become a complete horror? Or is there some hope, are some teens actually ok?

Mine is 15 and fine. Occasionally stroppy, mostly lovely.
He's very messy and very lazy. But that's not new to his teenage years!

my teen is horrible to us and his grandparents. but i seen some other teens who are a pleasure to chat with and they get nice feedback from their parents. I guess in any bunch there are few bad ones, and i am unlucky one. I guess good thing he is not out late with wrong company, he is just a lazy and rude sod.

Ds was OK, but DD made up for it and was dreadful! But, she is now in her 20's and absolutely lovely and hard working with a great career. Many come out the other side OK.

My 15 yr old is lovely. He is very messy but he is kind, caring and funny.

i am sure being a "teen" is a "disability". Every time i ask my teen to do chores, his granddad stops him, saying he will do the bin instead etc. Now teen does not lift a finger, bone idol, not even tempted by pocket money for chores. In fact if we need help in the house he will not offer to such as lifting or moving anything.
