Help my rabbit is giving birth to a surprise litter!

I had gone out to clean my rabbit out and had done half when I went to her bed and noticed she had pulled some of her fur out and made a nest. I put my hand in the fur and came across a baby so I withdrew my hand quickly and closed the box and ushered mum back inside her hutch. I've fed and watered her as normal and put in some extra hay but I'm at a loss at what I do now. This was at about 1pm and I've left her to it but I'm concerned I've done some damage by disturbing her. Does anyone please have any experience or advice on what to do now?
Thank you.

Haha an hour later and there were lots of teeny tiny poop's all over which my husband hoovered up then disinfected the carpet whilst I put the babies and mum to bed.
I put a carboard box in there and they went nuts! Running around & around it at full speed and bashing into each other. They were so tired after though Xmas Grin

Mybunnyisamummy · 31/12/2015 10:56

Put paper down today Xmas Grin

PurpleHairAndPearls · 31/12/2015 11:21

They're so cute, they look so soft!

Aren't you tempted to just keep them all? Smile

Mybunnyisamummy · 31/12/2015 12:18

I am but I really can't unfortunately.
My lovely niece has sexed them and there are 2 boys and 4 girls. Xmas Smile

Well there are only 3 baby bunnies left to find forever homes for. I'm actually really sad and don't want any of them to go. I've only got 3/4 weeks left with them all 😩

HanarCantWearSweaters · 02/01/2016 16:07

Noooo! I've been following along since they were titches. Which ones are taken?

Maybe you need to stretch it out s few weeks/months more? Just in case?

Mybunnyisamummy · 02/01/2016 17:02

They are coming over next week to choose. I'm absolutely gutted. I've got an operation in 10 days so hopefully I can put them off for a couple of weeks whilst I recover, fingers crossed.

PurpleHairAndPearls · 06/01/2016 06:15

How are your bunnies? I hope the operation goes smoothly for you.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 06/01/2016 14:16

Good Luck with the operation.
You'll be happier knowing that all your buns have got homes lined up I'm sure.
I don't know if you've named them (though their new owners will do this) but I'd call one of the boys Andrew because they were born on St Andrews Day.

MumRabbit will want her Peace and Quiet ordered life back once she's sent them off to Big school Grin.
Are you having her spayed ? (I saw on the early posts that your buck can't be neutered)

Mybunnyisamummy · 06/01/2016 14:47

Hello
Yes the bunnies are happy and adorable. We are now keeping two as I just can't let them go and 2 more have been reserved but not actually chosen which ones they want yet. If I was keeping a boy that would be a fab name but I'll certainly suggest it to their new owners. Mummy rabbit has certainly earned her time off for good behaviour and she now has only 2 weeks and 5 days to go until they go to big school. I will be having her spayed in the beginning of February and her daughters will be done March. Dad can't be done but he won't need to be as long as I get the girls done although it would have been a hell of a lot cheaper & easier to get him done. He's 5 years old now and I can't believe he's that old already.

Do they all have homes now? 🐰🐇

PurpleHairAndPearls · 17/01/2016 14:02

They've grown so quickly! You'll be sad to see them leave but you've brought them up well Smile

Mybunnyisamummy · 17/01/2016 15:01

I've got 2 that still need homes. I'm going to miss them so much. They are well socialised and don't mind being picked up so they really do make lovely indoor rabbits. I wouldn't give them away at all if I didn't have to but I've just not got the space unfortunately.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 17/01/2016 19:33

Aww they are gorgeous, it will be a huge deafening silence in your house when the bunnies go to their new homes.

Think of it as their new adventures starting rather than the end of living with you and MummyBunny (she;ll be relieved to get her house in order again Wink )

Mybunnyisamummy · 18/01/2016 10:36

Yeah mummy bunny is certainly looking fed up and can't wait until they move out haha.
I am wondering though if she wouldn't mind one of her daughters living at home. I've read that it should be fine and I'll be getting them done together so they can't reproduce with husband/dad as I can't get him done now. He's so old though that I don't think he's got much longer but fingers crossed he hangs about for a long while as he's a lovely chap.

SquadGoals · 18/01/2016 11:17

You may be pleasantly surprised - my male rabbit lived for 12 years Grin

PurpleDaisies · 18/01/2016 11:19

They are so lovely. Wish we had space for a bunny.

Mybunnyisamummy · 18/01/2016 12:15

Well if he lives to be 12 that'll be fantastic 😊 I hope they all live long & happy lives.

fortifiedwithtea · 20/01/2016 12:28

My DC and I have enjoyed following this thread.

Can we see a photo of the babies who are staying with Mummybunny please Smile

ZadokTheBeastie · 20/01/2016 12:45

Where in Hampshire? I love bunnies and we have loads of space. My DD would love to have her first pet. Would need to discuss with DH but maybe we could provide a home . . . PM me?
