I had gone out to clean my rabbit out and had done half when I went to her bed and noticed she had pulled some of her fur out and made a nest. I put my hand in the fur and came across a baby so I withdrew my hand quickly and closed the box and ushered mum back inside her hutch. I've fed and watered her as normal and put in some extra hay but I'm at a loss at what I do now. This was at about 1pm and I've left her to it but I'm concerned I've done some damage by disturbing her. Does anyone please have any experience or advice on what to do now?
Thank you.

I want one!! can't have one though as I live to far away

PurpleBun · 18/12/2015 06:48

I'm in Hampshire and would love more bunnies but unfortunately I already have a bonded pair SadSadSad

I'm sure you won't have any problems finding them homes though - they are gorgeous!!

SpellBookandCandle · 19/12/2015 02:49

bunny lead weaning! 🐾🐾 I bet mummy is ready for a bit of me time! such lovely lovely babies...

DartmoorDoughnut · 19/12/2015 06:29

Totally not forgiving you for living so far away Angry Grin

Mybunnyisamummy · 22/12/2015 07:34

Getting so big now. They are getting used to being held and are not as skittish about being touched. They are so lovely and a pleasure to look after.

Sorry about living too far away though...
Mum is fine and I let her out every morning to have a good run about away from her babies. She predictably chases my cats for fun haha.

They are gorgeous bunnies (and I'm not even a Bunny Fan, I have guineas) Grin

Have you any idea of the male:female numbers?

And are you selecting potential New Bunny Homes?

DoesntLeftoverTurkeySoupDragOn · 22/12/2015 09:37

So cute! I love the grey/brown one in the recent photos. I'm not a "caged pet" person but o do think they are utterly gorgeous :)

(I don't mean that as any kind of judgement BTW)

PurpleHairAndPearls · 22/12/2015 09:40

They're growing so quickly! Gorgeous.

Even DH is asking after the progress of The Bunnies. He is a very scary looking (tall, tattoos, scowl) person who secretly loves the baby rabbits Grin

Mybunnyisamummy · 22/12/2015 12:06

I have no idea what sexes they are yet even though I have had a quick look they all look the same. My brother says he will stop by when they are a few weeks older and look for me as he knows the difference.
No homes yet as I thought it best to get Christmas out the way.
They are absolutely adorable and the whole family wander off to have a cuddle at some point in the day. I differently overdose on cuddles which is good for them as they become more friendly and happy to be handled. I'm going to really struggle letting them go I think.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 22/12/2015 12:33

Lowering the tone here but when do male rabbits get all Oedipus and start eyeing up their Mum/Sisters.

Guinea-pigs is 4 weeks Shock But they have a much longer gestation and are born ready to rumble with teeth, fur, open eyes and mobile within hours.

millimat · 22/12/2015 13:23

Yes I wondered how long makes and females could be left together.

Mybunnyisamummy · 23/12/2015 08:35

They are ready to leave mum at around 8/9 weeks minimum so they should be split then really just to be safe. I have 2 extra cages so can put girls in one and boys in another until they go to their forever home but I need them sexed first. I've got 5 weeks so quite awhile yet.

The little black/sand one in the middle photo looks like they're staring up at the sky (for Santas Sleigh pehaps .......... Xmas Grin )

You DO know that it's compulsary to take Christmas Eve photographs with them all sitting in a row (hats are a plus) tinsel maybe?

Good Luck with that.......................... Xmas Wink

Mybunnyisamummy · 24/12/2015 21:16

Haha no way they would sit still for that unfortunately.
They kept escaping out the run because they quickly figured they could fit between the bars so I had to keep sitting there and popping them back in but they had a fab time.
Merry Christmas rabbit baby fans Xmas Grin be back on Boxing Day.

Hoppy Christmas!

PurpleDaisies · 25/12/2015 09:23

This had been my favourite thread of the whole year. Happy Christmas!

Mybunnyisamummy · 27/12/2015 22:47

The baby bunnies had a lovely Christmas. Lots of cuddles and lettuce. I've been handling them so much they behave beautifully now. I was watching tv with a couple of them tucked into my dressing gown earlier, they love it and fall fast asleep.

Mybunnyisamummy · 28/12/2015 13:21

Mybunnyisamummy · 30/12/2015 12:27

They are so much bigger in just a week! Shock .

DD1 has a favourite, the one with the palest face. DD2 loves all of them.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 30/12/2015 13:23

I'm ver' ver' suspicious that there are so many rabbits, a light coloured carpet and NO DROPPINGS Shock

Either they are litter trained already (my guineas walk along slipping out their pig-pooh at an alarming rate) or Mybunny is very very nifty with a Dyson.
