Smoking to vaping?

Has anyone succeeded in swapping smoking for vaping?
I can't stand how addicted to cigarettes I am, I wake every morning in panic about my health.
I just can't seem to get myself to stop! In fact the more I think about it, the more I smoke!
I was thinking trying to switch to vaping might be an idea?
Has anyone managed this? Any tips?

Luna My app says 9 days 13 hours and 32 mins smoke free for me 🤣 we both stopped the Saturday morning, my last one was at 8.55am 😂 so as of 8.55am tomorrow it's 10 days as it goes from the time you quit. I got the vimto flavour from the local vape shop. You must visit one!

fox Thank you for that picture. I actually never knew this and it's gave me a real boost. I'm sure we will all take any extra time we can get 😂 Ignore the people having a go, they don't realise how tough it still is to try and stop with a vape too. Let them crack on and you sit there smug knowing your lungs are repairing and you could be potentially gaining years.

Been a good day after all craving wise. I don't know who said it but I think I'm gonna get another battery and always have a spare fully charged for when mine dies. I only have 1 working vape so far but I'm just glad you can use it while charging or I would be in deep trouble 😂. I'm always In my car or home so a charger near by, Plus in my other job we have chargers and stuff so I should be ok. I will need one though as it's gonna happen one day and I don't want to be caught without. I actually went shopping today and it was only when my mum had a puff on her vape that I realised i hadn't used mine in ages 🤤 Didn't even think about it for a good couple of hours which is unheard of 😂. I quickly panicked, took it out my bag and puffed away 😎

Can you actually taste all the different flavours Ollivander? They don’t appeal to me at all, sound really sickly but you constantly amaze me with your weird and wonderful varieties!

Digby the king is the most incredible peanut butter one and doesn't kill coils as much

Ordered on your recommendation Ollivander! The really sweet ones don't appeal to me either but I thought I'd give something else a go when I was struggling with the tobacco flavour. So far I quite like this one for a change- it's fairly sharp and fresh. Like I said before, I think I need a variety of vapes on the go with different flavours! It's about being able to go all day on the same flavour I think. I think I have that one on order Fox, haven’t had time to go to the sorting office and
collect it yet (post office don’t deliver to me
cos I have a naughty dog). I ordered a few mint/menthol/eucalyptus flavours. Might walk up and get them later if I can persuade dd to come with me.

Went and got my new vape juices from
post office. I’m loving thr digby’s moriya
mix, very refreshing. I also have a
brain freeze one I want to try in my other
vape but I can’t get the lid off! I am
rubbish with child proof type lids. I never liked menthol cigarettes but I’m loving menthol and minty vaping. I liked the tobacco for the first few days but am
right off it now. I haven’t had any cravings so far today, hope everyone else is having an easy vape day today. We are kicking the ass of cigarettes!

Good day for me too. I've ran out of my vimto flavour last night. So in just 1 day and a bit it was gone. Think I'm going through a bottle of liquid a day. I wonder if this is too much?. I'm now on a blueberry one which is very nice too. I have a peach one to try but it smells like the peach shot they give you at some Chinese restaurants and it's put me right off trying it 🤣 The vanilla custard one burnt my coil on the 1st puff so I think I'll give that one a miss now. I'll need to go juice shopping again 🤤 I only got some on Saturday. I've lots of 18mg left but I don't really want to go back to that strength now as I've been fine on 12mg. Gonna see how long it takes me to use up what I've got before I buy more. I need to be saving some pennies 🤣

I've got a peach flavour, it's nice! Bit sweet after a while.

Which smoke free app are you guys using? I downloaded the nhs one but it doesn't ask what time I quit??

I've been mixing my 6mg with 0% to lower the nicotine content. Maybe you could try that to use your 18mg, tutty?

Well done for going down to 12mg Tutty, I’m very impressed. Some of my new juices are 12 mg but one is a 20mg, don’t think I noticed when I ordered it. You are getting through a lot more juice than me but I think
some vape set ups use more than others.

Day 9! I am in love with another of my new juices, Salt Glacier. It is gorgeous, minty and cool, think I will get through a lot of it. Still can’t get the lid off the Brain Freeze one tho! Hope everyone has a happy vaping day.

I'm liking my digbys liquid so far. Good news as it makes for a change. I made to mistake if buying a few of the tobacco flavour ones I'm not keen on early on. Feels like a bit of a waste now.
Fab you're down to 12mg already Tutty. Like dogs says, you might be getting through the liquid quicker depending on what you're vaping with. Whatever, I don't think it's too much. 20 fags would be too much...

I'm doing ok, despite other life stresses I'm feeling like I'm fairly used to being a vaper already. Feeling that distance between me and smoking which I never thought I'd say!

I'm really liking moriya's mix too! Got some in my 2nd vape, they only had it in 11mg so got my main vape topped up with 18mg liquid. I'll need a bigger ouch for all my kit soon 😂

How does everyone dispose of their empty eliquid bottles? I don't know if it's ok to put them in recycling but it seems really bad environmentally to just bin them?

Hope everyone's doing ok today

I’ve had a good day, dh is back and smoking but it’s not bothering me. He did say he might give up in the winter so fingers crossed we might both be smoke free by the end of the year. He smokes about 30 a day, tailor mades, so that would be a big saving if he quit. How’s everyone else done today? I love everyone’s updates on here.

I've had a bad day in terms of work/stress but still vaping away despite some strong 'sod it, I want a fag' moments, so I'm counting that as a win! 13 days at midnight so 2 weeks in sight!
