Yep. Always remember the comedown. Is 2 days+ of fear and loathing worth the buzz?

I swear it gets worth with age too! Soon I'm going to start having such long comedowns I'll have to check myself into a nursing home for a fortnight afterwards. Not good.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 14/03/2017 20:50

On that note I'm off to bathercise and pyjamarate.
Bishop we've only got a couple of pages left I talk far too much so hope you have something left in your wit tank for a new title.... Smile

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 14/03/2017 21:05

*worse with age, I meant to say! Sorry I must have taken my false teeth out.

serialtester · 14/03/2017 21:07

I'm pyjamerating too. Will try and be witty tomorrow!

So been reading some Anthony Robbins (famous life coach). He says everything we do is based on avoiding pain and gaining pleasure. so we can stop particular behaviours if we attach enough pain to them. I think if we are really honest about the impact of cocaine, we realise it creates way more pain than pleasure in our lives. So by abstaining, we are not resisting a pleasure, but in fact protecting ourselves from pain and therefore creating more pleasure in our lives.

Try getting your head round that one after a gram and half a bottle of whisky....

Thank you for indulging my late night philosophising. Night lovely surfers BrewBrew

Inarightpickleandchutney · 14/03/2017 21:14

I just wrote a long and involved post crediting you all, and deep analysis into why I am a douche.

Still surfing though so haven't relapsed.

Pyjamerating momentarily so on that note dahlings,
Night

flatwhite45 · 14/03/2017 21:26

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 14/03/2017 21:57

Good darts Pickle you're no douche, you're one smart cookie!

Professor, I love your spin on things. You're deep like a beautiful river.
Will Google Mr. Robbins tomorrow.

TIA serial I know you have the wit in you, as well as the curry Wink

Night all x

kineticmagnetic · 15/03/2017 08:19

No curry was had, sleep was excellent. Hope you are all good today.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 15/03/2017 09:02

Glad all is good with you, Kinetic. The sun is shining, the seas are calm. Wishing everyone on board a lovely day x

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 15/03/2017 19:02

All very quiet on the surfboard tonight! How is everyone doing?
I've had a really hectic day, got one of those tension headaches so now trying to chill by washing down paracetamol with a cold lager Confused.

Kinetic Hope you haven't been up any ladders today Wink.
Spun and Snowball haven't heard from you for a while, I'd love to know how you're doing x

Now going to Google Anthony Robbins the life coach to get some inspiration. I'll hopefully have some sort of epiphany that will calm the pesky cravings. They're hitting me hard tonight. Sad

Inarightpickleandchutney · 15/03/2017 19:30

Hi lost, I've a headache too.

About to dunk DD into a bath then both of us will pyjamarate and early night all round.

How are the nails?

flatwhite45 · 15/03/2017 19:35

Lost NO NO NO! Distract distract distract. Fags booze baths whatever you need to do...hold on tight to that board....and your inner balls Wink

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 15/03/2017 19:41

Dunking children in baths and pyjamarating sounds like a plan. Honestly I'm so tense today! Wish someone in this house could give shoulder massages Grin

Just given myself a head fuck looking at Flat's life coach theories. Neurolinguistic programming anyone? Which of his books did you read flat? Wouldn't mind being hypnotised by him, he's a good looking guy..

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 15/03/2017 19:42

Fumbling around for my balls as we speak flat !

Inarightpickleandchutney · 15/03/2017 19:43
Grin
kineticmagnetic · 15/03/2017 19:49

No ladders, in bed with DD, just deciding between sleep now or wine then sleep.

Try smelling Vicks/oblast oil. Used to numb my nose a bit that the cravings subsided a little of done with a super strong coffee.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 15/03/2017 19:49

That sounds a bit wrong, Pickle but strangely reassuring Grin
Rocking a nude nail today btw.

I don't know if anyone else gets the feeling sometimes that surfing and keeping self aware is takes SO much effort. I want to be able to do it without effort, you know like riding a bike.
Blush

kineticmagnetic · 15/03/2017 19:50

Olbas.... no idea why oblast is in my predictive

kineticmagnetic · 15/03/2017 19:51

Don't get me started on being self aware, been though that much therapy I now analyse every breath I take, it's why I try get 10 hrs sleep a night now.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 15/03/2017 19:52

The Vicks tip sounds like a good'un!
(Look out for my new thread coming soon; "Help I'm addicted to inhaling nasal decongestants".)

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 15/03/2017 19:55

It gets easier though Kinetic? Please say yes!
So glad you understand Smile

kineticmagnetic · 15/03/2017 20:04

Not easier but more normal, it's not an effort now but I'm still aware of it if that makes sense? I'm only almost a year in though so still early days!

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 15/03/2017 20:08

That's music to my ears Kinetic. I'm aspiring to be more normal.
