Welcome aboard, Sunday sorry we've all gone silly today, hope it hasn't put you off!
I'm throwing lots of arm bands your way Smile
A clean month is brilliant so don't bash yourself up about a slip up. I'm hauling you back on the surfboard.

serialtester · 02/03/2017 21:49

Welcome Sunday. Sometimes we're silly but we're always trying. How are you doing tonight?

OP posts:
ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 02/03/2017 21:50

And you are welcome to join our party animal research project in deepest Columbia Wink

LadyRivers1 · 02/03/2017 21:52

Hi Sunday! I've just joined the thread this week too, it's a lovely non judgemental place!

Proper lol at the narration 😂👌🏻

serialtester · 02/03/2017 21:53

Yes, always room for one more in Columbia. But seriously Sunday - we know how it is.

A month off it is great! The last thing you should do it beat yourself up. I've spent two years off it and slipped back into it last year and have slowly watched things spiral. What you achieved in the past month is amazing.

It's bloody hard though

sundaymorningbringsthedawnin · 02/03/2017 21:55

Thank you everyone, it's my birthday next week so of course the eminently sensible thing to do is to start my long weekend by getting battered Hmm my last blow out ended with me pulling an all nighters and then spending the next day throwing up. I thought it had put me off but clearly not. I am determined not to go back to the weekly pattern of getting utterly fucked on a Friday and losing half the weekend again

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 02/03/2017 21:56

Keep posting, Sunday It does help to write it all down and have some support x

LadyRivers1 · 02/03/2017 21:58

I hear you Sunday - kids go away, I get right on it and bang, it's time to pick them up again and I've achieved nothing except get utterly smashed. What do you have planned for your birthday?

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 02/03/2017 21:58

Yes I've been there. I'm calling my last birthday The big birthday fiasco. Blush
We'll help you fight the tide.

Snowball426 · 02/03/2017 21:58

Sunday - please do

I can't begin to say how much hope and support I've received x

Inarightpickleandchutney · 02/03/2017 21:59

Notice the surfers battle over control of the music in a phenomenon known only to the tribe as 'Ravers disease'

sundaymorningbringsthedawnin · 02/03/2017 22:00

You lot are brilliant, it's so good to know there are women out there just like me. I live in a 'nice' area, I'm nearly 48 and I imagine most of my mum friends and work colleagues would be utterly disgusted at my behaviour - it can be a very lonely place this double life

serialtester · 02/03/2017 22:00

Yes, keep talking Sunday. It does help. I couldn't have got this far without this thread.

OP posts:
serialtester · 02/03/2017 22:03

Ha,the double life!! So true! "what did you do this weekend?" "Well, I spent Friday and part of Saturday snorting fat ones and then I spent Sunday getting pissed to deal with the comedown and I had a line this morning to get me to work. You?"

OP posts:
ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 02/03/2017 22:03

"Note the speed of the surfers movements and their ability to hear each other as they all shout profound conversations over the music whilst chain smoking"

Inarightpickleandchutney · 02/03/2017 22:03

Welcome Sunday!
Have a read if you want of mine and the other surfers on the previous thread, the truth isn't lonely or shameful.
It's just that, the truth, and this place has been safe to say it x

LadyRivers1 · 02/03/2017 22:04

Just yes to all that Sunday! The double life - I shudder to think if people found out! But also wonder if they would actually be supportive....

serialtester · 02/03/2017 22:05

Bed time for me. See you all in the danger zone tomorrow!

OP posts:
ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 02/03/2017 22:05

No judgement here, Sunday.

Inarightpickleandchutney · 02/03/2017 22:06

'Good weekend?'
'Yeah I spent Thursday and Friday doing around £500 up my nose along with losing my shoes, throwing up in a random bin and had to cancel all my cards, I'm in the horrors of 'other people' so see you at lunch, yeah?'

serialtester · 02/03/2017 22:08

"in the danger zone the party animals become silent and furtive. They do complicated things with mobile phones to retrieve numbers and say things like 'I'll be in bed by 9' 'just a small one' 'it's Friday' Fascinating natural behaviour"

OP posts:
ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 02/03/2017 22:09

God can you imagine pickle Blush

This party animal is retiring to bed so night my lovely fellow surfers x

Inarightpickleandchutney · 02/03/2017 22:09
