Please help me with these shoes...

They are the only ones I have found to wear on my Wedding Day.

They are in America, so will cost altogether (shipping + tax inc) £140. My dress cost £30

I am a size 5/6, so do I go for an American size 8? Are American shoes known for coming up big/small?

Do I risk it and bank on Ebay if they're not right?

They look perfect

[Did orignally put a similar thread in chat a moment ago, but hoping it will be ignorned now I've remember the S&B section ]

The link doesn't go to the shoes, just the website.

Hope that helps.

Monty100 · 30/04/2010 22:03

And you do realise you're going to have to linkie to the dress too so we can proffer an opinion.

BattyKoda · 30/04/2010 22:03

Monty100 · 30/04/2010 22:08

Oooo, the dress is lovely, although I can't quite work out the colour.

I'm still bumping.

BattyKoda · 30/04/2010 22:09

Bugger...I give up! They're called

Monty100 · 30/04/2010 22:13

That link worked in the preview lol. Will try again.

BattyKoda · 30/04/2010 22:15

Thank you [bangs head against wall]

Do you think they are worth the risk? It's alot of money...

The only option I have found in the whole of this country are posom&sh=0&pge=0&pgesize=20&sort=-1&clr=Ivory these

OP posts:
BattyKoda · 30/04/2010 22:16

Monty100 · 30/04/2010 22:17

here?

Monty100 · 30/04/2010 22:19

Yay.

I think they're lovely, (rather than the ASOS ones).

Lots of dosh though. When's the wedding??

BattyKoda · 30/04/2010 22:20

Beginning of July.

I have saved an absolute fortune on the dress though

Really struggling with shoes... have been looking for yonks!

OP posts:
Monty100 · 30/04/2010 22:21

I've looked at the ASOS shoes again, actually they would grow on me and I'm liking the price better.

I'm sure I've seen something like those american sandals somewhere. Have you tried Coast?

Ivykaty44 · 30/04/2010 22:22

they go beautifully with the dress

its a yes from me

worth every penny

Monty100 · 30/04/2010 22:22

Oh and Congratulations !

Good for you with the dress too, it is lovely.

Monty100 · 30/04/2010 22:23

Ivy - they're gorgeous aren't they.

BattyKoda · 30/04/2010 22:24

I think they look a bit 'clumpy' IYSWIM

Coast - no shoes on net? Would be over joyed to find a pair like that here!!

Here they are at zappos, for a little less and with one review.

www.zappos.com/martinez-valero-corrine-ivory-satin

Both Nordstrom and Zappos have excellent customer service. I would rather deal with them than ebay unless it was a lot cheaper. I am a US size 8 and a UK size 5.5 or 6 usually. All the reviews on both sites say they are true to size.

Good luck!
