I have to like White Stuff. DD works as a merchandiser for them. I get lots of stuff given. Free White Stuff is v.good.

DecorHate · 13/02/2010 14:30

White stuff stuff is fairly casual though isn't it? Not smart enough for evening really unless it is a summer BBQ or similar.

Tbh I usually go in and walk straight out without trying anything on. I don't object to the patterns/styles but a lot if the fabrics are either wool or synthetic and the quality is not as good as somewhere like Boden.

mii · 13/02/2010 14:39

i have one white stuff fleece that is used by all at cold bbqs in the summer

my mum shops there so I can't bring myself to go yet

I loves asos

CiderIUpAndSetIFree · 13/02/2010 14:44

I reckon you can dress up a lot of their stuff with heels/nice shoes etc to make it smart enough for eating out in the evening or something. (Disclaimer - I am not a fashionista nor do I live/go anywhere particularly trendy).

Agree re the wool being offputting - too hard to bung in the washing machine. They do some quite wearable and washable cottons and denims though.

FrankieValli · 13/02/2010 14:54

see thats the same for kew too
i like their knitwear ( or did till this winter)
like their short skirts
like their suits

BUT they do no " going out" kind of stuff unlesss your idea of getting dressed up is wearing a velvet stripe around a cardigan

EdgarAllenSnow · 13/02/2010 15:43

with a name like cider you could be my Dh ..except he wouldn't talk about clothes.

i am pretty disilusioned with clothing gnerally - i'm not the right shape for tunic & leggings and the kind of stuff i like is most decidedly not in at the moment. i went to town to perv at clothes i can't afford...and found nothing to perv over. (diclaimer: it was Worthing, which is a bit rubbish next to Brighton, where i generally find something to make my plastic itch.)

FrankieValli · 13/02/2010 15:46

Look Nicklebabe.... Look..... Its rather woolly this season but some pretties there to wear. I am currently wearing a scarf of theirs with a green knitted tunic. Not hot party gear but I looked good at the garden centre earlier ! So far this fashion season I am preferring it to Boden and bought zilch from them this year ( ok it's only Feb ....)

dexter73 · 13/02/2010 16:14

Found it at HoF.

FrankieValli · 13/02/2010 16:14

i made him go and get me some ELnett too

Cyb · 13/02/2010 16:15

Mines nose has ballooned to twice its normal size. And it was pretty big to begin with

Cyb · 13/02/2010 16:16

Dex I have a dress veh similar. A kid at school asked why I was wearing an apron.

FrankieValli · 13/02/2010 16:17

i like
too swirly for me though ( am sure that affects your purchasing )

dexter73 · 13/02/2010 16:18

I like swirly - it hides my bum!

Cyb · 13/02/2010 16:19

I've bought nowt in yonks. Lost my mojo.

dexter73 · 13/02/2010 16:20

I went to White Stuff to get my friend, Mrs White Stuff, a birthday present. It is not for me, too nice and everything is knee-length. I am more slaggy looking!
