vitalumiere-WHY DID NO+ONE TELL ME BEFORE????

DarrellRivers · 14/01/2010 15:30

Well, I suspect I had read it on some threads
I thought I knew better, had my mac foundation, felt on trend blah blah blah
(Had noticed skin looking drier however when put said foundation on)
Sample of vitalumiere in fash mag
Tried this morning, had bought my first pack by 130pm
It is so so so so good
Lovely colour, great coverage, and my skin feels and looks dewy
I am deliriously happy
(am going to keep my new visage a secret from my RL friends so I look dewier and younger than them-does that make me a bad bad person?)

yyy. i didn't listen
my life is transformed, I look like I did when i was 20, well better because I have better dress sense
(skips off happily into sunset)
Chanel ladies were v nice as well and tried to get me to buy skin products and fragrance. Am amazed I got out alive with only the foundation
I AM SO DELIGHTED

Hijack - I'm panicking, I have the square pot of vitalumiere, a thick cream plus a liquid vitalumiere.

I've run out of the thick cream and its NOT ON the Chanel website

have they stopped doing the thick version???????

Laura Mercier moisturising , but not enough coverage, this does both, coverage and hydrating

I have some.Not convinced.
It seems to slide off (scary counterwoman with trowelled on make up said it did this to 'ladies with more oily' complexions.
I did not take the hint, obv.

Bobbi Brown on other hand is excellent too.

the thick version in a square pot is on ebay but not on the Chanel website.

I think they might have stopped doing it!

skybluewinking · 14/01/2010 15:46

Only on day 3, can assume the position thank goodness, so can sit on MN for 5 hours. Then have to have a sleep, it's all too exhausting!
But think of all I will learn, will have perfect skin, and be perfect wife

Vitalumiere no damn good for gals who have pinky skin.

Is only ok for you olive toned lot with yellow undertones. I tried the lightest shade and was too yellow for me (english rose complexion. Don't take the piss, I don't think I am Kate Winslet).

So if you want something which is Vitalumiereesque try Lancome Photogenic Luminescence which is v similar.

The bottle aint as nice, though.

What did you do all day rest of the time?

OR if you want to spend nearly £100 on foundation and don;t think you will spend 3 months in paroxysms of guilt (like me) try Eclat Opulent by By Terry, which is a gorgeous foundation with a lovely texture, however seeing as that I have not got Liz Jones's desire to spend a fortune on obscure cosmetics I will never spend that much money on foundation again.
