vitalumiere-WHY DID NO+ONE TELL ME BEFORE????

DarrellRivers · 14/01/2010 15:30

Well, I suspect I had read it on some threads
I thought I knew better, had my mac foundation, felt on trend blah blah blah
(Had noticed skin looking drier however when put said foundation on)
Sample of vitalumiere in fash mag
Tried this morning, had bought my first pack by 130pm
It is so so so so good
Lovely colour, great coverage, and my skin feels and looks dewy
I am deliriously happy
(am going to keep my new visage a secret from my RL friends so I look dewier and younger than them-does that make me a bad bad person?)

True Laurie, but cheaper than I thought it was when I last bought it I meant. Still not CHEAP though!, and no. have not found that loads comes out, you have to pump it quite a bit in fact. I does seem to last a while though, I think it is v highly pigmented so, you don't need it to be thick.

sky - do you wear it as proper foundation or in a touche eclat way?

I wore it as foundation. And Darrellrivers, sorry for hijack. Came on here v excited about Vitalumiere, but then remembered the PPofF! Only thing is that mine was colour 2, from the shop, and on line there is no colour 2.
That and the fact that I can't afford it, but heyho.Maybe will ask SpaceNK for marketing bonus!

Which magazine was the sample in? I am desperate for new foundation but can't make it to a department store this side of a big night out, but a newsagent is manageable [cheapskate emoticon]

I used Vitalumiere in Clair a few years ago..and I identify with the poster here who said it made her skin feel clammy, that's exactly how mine felt too: it's a very silky, warm feeling on the skin, quite weird. I've just bought Dior's new Nude foundation and it's ace. (I have combination skin so this may be why it's not really for me).

I'm using Bobbi Brown foundation and finding it really fab. Might try Vitalumiere next though cos I'm a big Chanel fan.

Also using Touche Eclat and I can't see it making any visible difference. Am I just being a bit blind? Feeling a bit 'emperor's new clothes' about it.

I was going to buy some for my sis the same colour as mine but chanel woman said no!It may not suit her! and gave me 3 different samples of vitalumiere - liquid, creme and solid to let my sis try out. Naturally I kept them for myself.

so ask for samples if you aren't sure

Oooohhh - a chanel make up thread I love, love love Matt lumiere which comes in the black tube - I don't have oily skin but do have a shiny forehead and nose and this is wonderful! I have tried the vitalumiere but the coverage isn't as good....

On another note - I was given a RIMMEL foundation to try and I cannot, cannot cannot believe how good it is.....Almost as good as my beloved chanel (but no nice black bag and ribbon) and for those on a budget, I can highly recommend!!

I went to buy some vitalumiere in Selfridges this week and the chanel lady would not sell me any. Apparently my skin colour is pink and base colour of it all is yellow. Despite her trying her hardest to blend it in I was left with a jaundice smudge.

I am special see. Got some lovely Laura Mercier tinted mositurise instead.

I owuld love to have the whole of JL beauty dept to myself to play. I would go to each counter and make my face up and compare.
God that would be soooo much fun.

That should be a prize.
