The decleor aromessences facial oils are fab here for £32 on QVC and if you don't like them send them back for a refund

Also I was neglecting drinking water last week and my skin got all dry and icky because of it - had clearly stopped as spending all my time inside. So drunk more, voila - better skin.

Hand cream more often. Lip salve more often and exfioliate lips gently with a toothbrush.

Go for a sauna/steam if you can, helps skin glow better.

RolandButter · 12/01/2010 16:24

i also sadly think planning what you are wearing the night beofre works not only for preschoolers but also women over 30 ina hurry

Can't believe no one's mentioned the oil cleansing method yet - no need to buy expensive facial oils, just use olive/sunflower/grape/jojoba/whatever you've got in the cupboard - wake up feeling like you've had a facial!

RolandButter · 12/01/2010 16:26

hmm
i have dry skin to - why is it a "method"

Decleor neroli is magic! Evian light tanning moistriser is brilliant and they have it in the £1 shop here .It does smell but if you shower in the morning its irrelevant and the colour is great v light and glowy.Blusher only and mascara on a really well moisturised face looks lovely at weekends

RolandButter · 12/01/2010 16:29

..not if hungover though natch

arf

noddyholder · 12/01/2010 16:39

And perky is v nastasha kaplinski or lulu

Lotster · 12/01/2010 16:42

Oh, I was going to say the oil and hot cloth method!

So... how about a Benefit's Dandelion Powder, usually does the trick!

And a pint of water first thing.

miche8 · 12/01/2010 16:53

few drops of oil in the bath if you are too lazy like me to moisturise your body every day.

Liz earl cleanser

Dry shampoo......i'm stopped washing my hair everyday, spend ages styling it and then take the kids to school and its ruined due to wind or rain.

OurLadyOfPerpetualSupper · 12/01/2010 16:54

Dandelion powder is lovely, but it makes me itch .

If we're talking camouflage, Benefit erase paste completely disguises dark circles.

And House of Colour tinted moisturizer is excellent.

MeAndMyMonkey · 12/01/2010 16:55

this Chanel thingy is quite nice

JamInMyWellies · 12/01/2010 17:02

Love benefit erase paste.

Moisturise entire body every day.

Take makeup off at bedtime.

IndigoSky · 12/01/2010 17:28

Hot water and a lemon slice or two every morning as soon as you get up.

Moisturise legs every day otherwise they look much older.

Lots of fresh air - running/walking every day if possible

Keep your feet looking fab - loads of exfoliating and moisturising and great nail varnish. Take it off as soon as it chips. Ditto for hands.

Always carry a mini pot of vaseline in your handbag and keep your lips moisturised.

Cut right back on booze (the really hard bit..)

cocolepew · 12/01/2010 17:31

If you have grey roots dye your hair. It makes it look thicker as well.

But not red because everyone will laugh and point at your pink roots.

Swedington · 12/01/2010 18:49

ooh I like this thread, thank you. Am marking to have a good read later.

MitsubishiWarrioress · 12/01/2010 19:06

Get a spacehopper..a quick five minute bounce rarely fails to put a smile on my face and some colour in my cheeks.

Drinking water really does make a difference.

MrsSeanBean · 12/01/2010 19:22

Chanel self tan for face.

catinthehat2 · 12/01/2010 19:35

Roland, I never thought I'd say this, and I bet you didn't either, but I love you.

thesteelfairy · 12/01/2010 19:43

Drink 1.5 - 2 litres of water a day
Exercise for 30 - 40 minutes at least 4 x a week, just walking is great.
Don't drink any alcohol. I understand this will not be a popular option but this is why:

  1. I struggled with my weight throught my life until I gave up drinking alcohol, never have to think about it now.
  2. I am regularly told that I look much younger than I am, I drank a few days over Christmas and aged visibly in a matter of weeks.
ArizonaBarker · 12/01/2010 21:01

Try Soap&Glory eye gel.

Moisturizes and gives a little lift.

Cut down on tea and coffee, replace with herbal stuff.

pattymc · 12/01/2010 21:07

eat good food - don't eat white carbohydates - pasta bread cakes
fake tan
lots of walking
at least 3 alcohol free nights a week

Georgimama · 12/01/2010 21:08

I concur with the alcohol thing. I stopped drinking only 10 days ago and already my skin looks much better. Have also lost 5 pounds (can also be attributed to no snacks).

Am going to try vaseline tonight - poor DH is having a flare up of eczema and goes to bed smothered in sudocreme. What a pair.

duckyfuzz · 12/01/2010 21:09

tinted moisturiser not foundation, gives a better glow
protect/perfect serum is fab
dandelion gets my vote too, magic!
