...but i was wondering what with new shapes etc etc if there was anything that might be out there for me. it's all about the lack of waist for me. actually, it's all about the fact that i have no abdominal muscles to speak of, post-children. so i might look okay in a dress but then, you know, i sit down and... sack of spuds.

Have you tried those magic pants that hold your tummy in? They might be all you need to boost your confidence for one of the cashmere Wallis tunics?

overmydeadbody · 25/10/2009 19:08

yy white stiff is a shop

I like that last dress

AitchTwoToTangOh · 25/10/2009 19:13

i find that control pants just send it elsewhere, tbh. plus i want to be comfortable, that's why i was thinking an enormo-jumper.

Bung a cardi o'er the top or dangle a long lovely scarf around your neck and NO ONE will notice your tummy.

AitchTwoToTangOh · 25/10/2009 19:27

yes, i could. but i'm not a big wearer of cardies and long scarves. i think maybe fashion has overtaken me somewhat with this eighties revival thing, actually.

CybilAviationAuthority · 25/10/2009 19:28

As ever

SimonHowl · 25/10/2009 19:29

have shown ds that wall thing

CybilAviationAuthority · 25/10/2009 19:29

But really , a slim fitting cardi, sleeves rolled up a little to highlight a delicate wrist will take POUNDS off you

missorinoco · 25/10/2009 19:30

A warning from a fellow apple - how old are your lo's. The first two dresses linked are handwash only....

said · 25/10/2009 19:31

No, 1st dress can survive a machine wash. I didn't put it in but it's survived

AitchTwoToTangOh · 25/10/2009 19:31

i don't look particularly fat, i should say. i just have no stomach muscles. i am generally to be found in well cut tunics and skinny-ish jeans (jeggings a bridge too far as yet, howl), neat cardies and vests etc. i just wanted a dress...

AitchTwoToTangOh · 25/10/2009 19:34

aaargh out of stock but that's the kinda thing i'm thinking. and in my favourite colour.

choosyfloosy · 25/10/2009 19:34

I am exactly your shape Aitch. I must say I almost never wear dresses just because of this. Agree with Cybil about the cardi though.

This shape ought to be right in theory but isn't it absolutely awful? (not much help sorry).

SimonHowl · 25/10/2009 19:35

OP posts:
CybilAviationAuthority · 25/10/2009 19:39

AitchTwoToTangOh · 25/10/2009 19:40

i have some arm ishoos, but not too ghastly. do like that dress too. i really am horrified by how nice the wallis stuff is, haven't been in there for yonks.

CybilAviationAuthority · 25/10/2009 19:41
