12 year old daughter has some, they look great on with a longer top, and i would imagine easy to wear as elasticated. She looks great, however......I would rather boil my own eyes rather than wear a pair!!!!

Can someone please explain to me what camel toe is? I was going to buy a pair to wear with my lovely Joe Browns smocky-type top. It's been way too hot so far this autumn to wear boots, so haven't got as far as thinking what might go on my feet!

camel toe is what you call the distinct outline of a fanjo in tight trousers, or bikini bottoms etc...

neds=plooks, badly dressed in dodgy sport gear, accessorised with a fag,a dug,can of special brew and a Croydon face lift

also unfathomably tight leggings/jeggins showing more than you'd show the gynaecologist

I would only ever wear leggings with a long tunic/jumper dress, and I do like the look of dress over jeans (so shoot me) so I thought these would be good because you get the jeans under dress look without the bulky top of jeans ruining the line of your long top. I want some.

Or am I completely mad?

haha. You just reminded me of Chewing the Fat SM, abd their ned newsreader sketch.

keep the camel toe hidden! nobody needs to see it

haha monkeytrews you were plastered. Good work. I'm quite pleawed that I'm not the only person to find the lure of the internet too strong after a few wines

No way.

I'd rather get a new pair of skinny jeans. Similar - and they won't go out of fashion in five minutes.

Report
WickedWitchSouthWest · 03/10/2009 19:28

but posh they're much cheaper, more comfy due to lots of lycra and no bulky waistband showing through a thinner/clingy dress.

I am still in shock that people are wearing skinny (or drainpipe) jeans and leggings again, especially with long baggy-nipped-in-under-the-bum-tops or skirts far shorter than they would wear with normal tights.

Really, get a full-length mirror, be honest about what you see. (legs like carrots and a huge arse, really, you're not fooling anyone with that outfit, in fact it makes you look bigger)

Leggings ~ Footless tights ~ Skinny jeans ~ all things that should have been left in the 80's, the decade that style forgot.

As for Jeggings, surely they are a hanging offence.

Saw some for first time this week on somebody younger than me but definitely too old for these - were teamed up with see-thru frilly skirt (pelmet), bright boots and long dark cardi. I know I looked like a cat dragged me in but still was relieved I hadn't done that . For me at least, definitely NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooo!!

Wowe - I just looked them up on Top Shop.com. There was a time when I wore jeans that tight - but that was 25 years ago and I no longer beliee I will be a rock'n'roll suicide by the age of 28. Maybe I should give them a go, see if all the teenage angst somes back as well. make a change from the late 30-something angst.
