I'll start

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

OP posts:
WickedWitchSouthWest · 02/10/2009 17:24

oh god, at the risk of being shot down, I love mine! I'm actually going to have to buy a second pair in a slightly different colour I wear them with tunic dresses / big t shirts and with boots or my glads in good weather.

I'm only 29 and don't think I should have to write myself off fashion-wise just yet! I'm a size 10 with a bum so that's why I tend to cover it with longer tops coz I just think leggings or jeggings with a giant arse stretching over it looks naff.

In fact, my mum has some and she's 53 but looks amazing in them...she's very glam and young looking tho and me & my sis would never let her wear something too young.

I think it's state of mind!

opinionatedmother · 02/10/2009 17:30

i seem to remember you being rather slim noddy for the huge majority of women - jeggings are a massive no.

camel toe city.

brokenspacebar · 02/10/2009 17:41

I love my jeggings, I want some treggings now.

Monkeytrews · 02/10/2009 18:06

I have seen one girl wear these and she was stunning. Have seen more who were not though. Think these are for high scorers only.

PVish · 02/10/2009 18:10

the new look ones are fabric
tight
the next oens are like thick tights

sequinedsteaknife · 02/10/2009 18:14

I think it is the name that annoys me most, trying to convince us they are something new when really they are either very thick leggings or very thin stretchy trousers of jeans.

You cannot bamboozle me.

lydiathetattooedlady · 02/10/2009 18:14

no, no, no you either end up with a camel toe or saggy crotch. they're all the rage round near me!

PVish · 02/10/2009 18:15

they are really nice
honestly.

noddyholder · 02/10/2009 18:30

NO CAMEL TOE!

WickedWitchSouthWest · 02/10/2009 18:34

I don't get a camel toe! But I do wear completely ginormous pants (you know, those little shorts which look a bit funky but are really bridgets in disguise )

fishie · 02/10/2009 18:37

i have topshop ones, they are a bit tight in the knee. they are fab. i don't like the knitted ones though, only those actually made out of denim.

mcfly79 · 02/10/2009 18:48

Think they look great but ONLY when tucked into boots and worn with long tops/cardigans,have also ordered treggings(very clever name eh!)and plan to wear them with high heels and long tunic type thing!anything that looks like it needs no ironing gets my vote!

WickedWitchSouthWest · 02/10/2009 18:55

I agree mcfly, they have to have a long top over them unless you are a runway model....or a chav

LaSoiDisantDame · 02/10/2009 18:56

I like mine too,

topshop ones,

Worn with ankle boots and bum covering tops. they look just like really well fitting skinnies.

Dh says they feel nice

VeryHungryLennipillar · 02/10/2009 19:02

NO way they would suit my saggy tummy and thunderthighs but do think they look good on slimmer people. And look fab with boots.

WoTmania · 02/10/2009 19:08

I was of the No camp but my brother's (20 yo, long-legged , ) GF has convinced me.
Not sure that I would wear them though as have only just dared skinny jeans.

PVish · 02/10/2009 19:11

i got some treeggings in toip hsop sale last year
saw a woman in them with high block y patent shoes and a long black cardigan and a big necklace she was about 5- and looked tres shic

GetOrfMoiLand · 02/10/2009 19:12

Think you can only wear these things if you are of 'Oi am considerably thinner than YOW' persuasion.

On anyone with an ounce of thigh wobble they look hideous.

witchofeastwick · 02/10/2009 19:19

Not unless I want the fashion police to arrest me!

wuglet · 02/10/2009 19:42

I wear them and am not super skinny in the slightest.

However I only wear them with long tunic tops/dresses and knee high boots - so you can only see from just above to just below my knee.

Would not comtemplate wearing them if they were going to expose any more then that.

Am I going to be executed by the MN style n'beauty mafia now?

(sometimes the boots are black)

wuglet · 02/10/2009 19:43

contemplate

WickedWitchSouthWest · 02/10/2009 19:49

PVish that sounds like my mum

PVish · 02/10/2009 19:50

disagree re waist but i think we are all talking at cross purposes here

the new look ones are like a thin cotton tight trouser to be worn with long tops and boots

have seen soem legging style where prob you should be careful, BUIT unless you have your arse out or very wobbly knees i cant see how these are more wobbl making than tights

GetOrfMoiLand · 02/10/2009 19:51

Not listening to your fashion statements after I saw that sequin skirt you were after (teehee)

PVish · 02/10/2009 19:52

ah it in the post
am planning tow ear with HIGh black heels and opaques on fabboid legs and a black knit.

will look so glam
