Someone please take advantage of this obvious misprint on the Office website.

I checked and it does stay at £40 when you add it to your basket. No idea whether it will get all the way through the process, but it is worth a try. I have a pair already, so it is no use for me.

vaca, I've just sent a very angry email to them - if they respond and sound even slightly contrite, I might try that. Is there any actual difference between the boots? I couldn't tell when I first ordered.

I can't tell the difference at all. Perhaps different brown? They look the same to me. I reckon they realised the cock up and created a new product so they can show the original ones as out of stock and don't have to honour all the other orders. In the meantime they can sell these ones at the right price.

no boots for me either, but they would have been a bonus, i do already have winter boots. sorry for those that were depending on getting them

i've phoned office and the boots are apparently out of stock- despite ordering on friday - so am not getting them. obviously head office have realised the mistake...

fuck fuck fuck. am pissed off with them. got an invoice and everything too... hope this wasn't some publicity stunt.

Hang on, are the Amazon ones 99 quid? This is where I got mine a fortnight ago [[http://www.scorpionshoes.co.uk/store/product/10189/FLY-LONDON-Mol-Brown-5/ the 7 and 8 are both 89.99, however 7s appear to be out at the moment.

Thought it was a bargain till the 40 quid ones turned up on here!!

so they've obviously realised they made a mistake

AND there is lots of stock in most sizes

so surely they have to sell them at the price they advertised them at???

Their terms and conditions aren't good. I can't see anything there that says until they've taken money they haven't entered into a contract or anything. Most online retailers have something like that now to avoid this kind of thing with mistakes with prices.

It only says in the terms and conditions that the confirmation email doesn't guarantee stock availability, and isn't a proof of purchase. But as they are showing the item as available in most sizes now, they can't use the stock availability argument.

I suspect lots of us are still 'pending' while they try and find out whether or not they are obliged to fulfil the order.

As my order is still pending and they do have stock available in my size, I will be pushing it!

Now I think about it, I'm going to get DH to have a look at the t&cs.

Um, not to throw a spanner in the works, but that is not the original link.
I originally linked to the brown rug leather pair (which I think is a slightly waxed leather), but that link is now going to the black leather pair. That is strange because yesterday the link still went to the original £40 and said sold out.
They must have sussed that it came from a link (or even mumsnet) and changed the link to prevent anyone proving that it said £40 in the first place.

Ooooh, that is very bad indeed!!!

If someone places and order for a certain price, they really should honour that price. They never sold out, they are just telling people that so they don't have to sell for a low price. Don't they think anyone will notice when all of the "sold-out" pairs are back on the website in a few weeks time? I say keep your email that says £40 and fight them if the boots do reappear on their site.

Morning all - still no email for me, but am willing to believe that they are on the case and my amazing boots will turn up shortly!
