sarimillie - don't have it or anything, but I think that purple looks lovely. It looks like Cadbury purple to me

I saw someone in the grey heart warming henley today and now I want it - but there's a 12-wk wait!

Cadbury purple - what a fantastic description! Thank you allnew. I am really leaning towards getting it - partly went for a patterned one because of the sticky finger issue with two under four, but I think I'd wear a plain colour more. It's always fun seeing stuff you've only seen online or in magazines on a real person - only just resisted asking a woman on the train to stand up and give me a twirl a few weeks ago!
Keep your eye on that henley if you want it tho; I think leadtimes change sometimes. or maybe it's just people like me returning stuff

allnew- its worth putting in an order now for the henley. I ordered the ruched waist dress in a 10 which had an 8 week wait on 12th August. I received it 2 days ago

They don't take payment from your card until they have despatched the goods to you.

Sarimillie - I have the moss dress but I absolutely adore it The flowers on mine are both cerise and violet. I loved the colours of the flowers even more irl than on the photographs. I will be wearing mine with violet opaques and a pink cardi......just as the photo

BTW, wore my biker jacket for the first time yesterday. It was freezing cold and ultra windy day but I was snug as a bug in a rug

Being long in the body, I often find that clothes (and jackets in particular) let a draught in somewhere along the hemline. However, this is fab and as good as my current North Face ski jacket, imo.

Corporalcornsilk, let us know how the purple one turns out...
Tulpe, what colour shoes are you planning with the moss dress, violet opaques and pink cardi? Does sound good so far!

Well, I thought I would either wear brown high-heeled mary-janes or black heels. Could also do black ballet flats. Have been thinking I could add a funky edge to it by wearing black mid-calf biker boots with it too

Will also be layering with long sleeve tees as alternative to cardi (have violet, cream and brown - all Top Shop). If I wear with the cream or brown, will team with brown opaques and brown mary-janes. There are both brown and cream shades on the dress.

tulpe, glad to hear you liked the biker jacket, I ended up ordering it as well last week so hopefully it will arrive soon

I might well go ahead and order the henley, otherwise I will just be thinking about it

Thanks Tulpe - all very well thought through! Wonder if my fabric is the same as yours- can't see any violet, just cerise...

Is it just me or is the deal of the day not up yet? Can't see any reference to deal of the day and have tried clicking through various links?

Think it has now finished.
My email said they were running until 6th September.

chattermouse, did you get any of your other stuff yet?

My stripy henley arrived today and am really happy with it. The other stuff is at the post office, so I guess that's my biker jacket and other tops

btw tried on that knitted dress in m&s today but it didn't work on me. Saw a lovely dress in zara though but not in my size. Can't seem to get zara clothes online

Hello allnew,

Had not checked this thread sorry! Am glad that your helley is pleasing. Hopefully by now you have your other things too, so, what are you keeping?

Shame the M&S dress was not for you. I have not got one yet (still undecided) Will have a look in Zara though to see what the one you saw is like.

Well review of my new Bodem items as follows:

  1. Round crew neck tops - I got 4 in size 8 and they wwill be great for winter. Good for tall people too as sleeves a good length and also good tummy coverage too as they are quite long. So keeping these for layering and to wear on own. There is a great stretch tto them so they fit perfectly

  2. Crew neck stripe cardigans - I got 2 of these in size 8. They are a good fit, though i would have liked them to be a little tighter under bust and on tummy. I like cardi's really fitted on the whole. that said, they are lovely and soft and bright and will be endlessly useful to keep warm. Am keeping and will wear as jumpers (with a vest underneath).

  3. Tank Top - I got in in the multi print, size 8. It is lovely but again i would have liked it to be tighter. Sometimes if things are not tight enough across tum and under bust it can end up making you look bulkier than you are iykwim. It should have had some stretch in it. But again, i will priobably keep as lovely and warm and does look good over the crew tops. Is also good at disguising slight mum tum as more forgiving than the crew tops! Still have another of these to arrive.

The next project is getting lots of Boden for my 3 little girls. The older 2 (2 and 4) halready picked out what they want from the catalogue! lots of very cute, colourful stuff. Will let you know how it goes!

hi chattermouse - thanks for the rundown on your purchases. Glad you like the crew-neck tops!
I know what you mean about some things not being tight enough under the bust, it really can make you look bulkier. Because I'm quite short and have big boobs but decent waist, I really need to wear fitted stuff and so often struggle with the baggy waist clothes problem!

That said, I got a dress today in m&s that works really well for me. it's a pencil type dress (in their 'career' section - never knew that existed until yesterday). It was only £35 as well so I'm well pleased with it and am going to wear it tomorrow. Pretty similar to the zara one I liked

So on my Boden purchases - today's arrivals were the biker jacket and a top for DS. Well I love the biker jacket. It's just what I need - casual but stylish jacket for walking around in with skirt/jeans (btw, I'm going to finally succumb to a pair of fly boots to complete the look, really need to stop spending £££ )

My other tops haven't arrived yet from boden (tbh am secretly hoping I don't like them so save £).

Must be so tempting with your 3 DD's! I have bought a good few things for DS and they're lovely. Need to buy some cheaper stuff now for nursery spares!

I just got a £10 voucher from Boden as a thanks for doing their customer surveys. can also use it with other offers- maybe the £10 off if you spend over £30- might even end up with a free something!

now, what shall I buy- something cheap, or something more pricey?

could go towards another cash cardi, or some T shirts.

Allnew! Great news for you that the biker jacket is fab, but it is bad news for your purse though ha, ha, ha! Like you i have decided to STOP spending now. I ended up sending the hotchpotch dress back (it just didn't have quite enough bang for the bucks it cost). So total Boden spend on myself is £299. Somehow it seems a lot more acceptable for being just under £300! That is me suited and booted now cos i also bought 2 pairs of uggs a few weeks ago. I would ideally like another pair of knee high flat boots (like your flys!) but i am spent up for the time being.

Just put in a MASSIVE order for the dd's. The 2 older are super excited, they sat by me and choose it all themselves. Lots of cute animal tops, flower print dresses, trousers and skirts. Baby got some lovely tops, jumper, cardi and 3 pairs of super cute trousers (inc the pink tartan bagies!). Older girls stuff should last 2 years for each as bought big and they can hand it down to each other iykwim. Baby will grow out in 9 months or so but will either stick on ebay or give to a friend. Am telling myself it was good value cos i put through lots of £30 sales and saved £120 that way. Bad news is i spent a fair bit more than i saved...... But Dp agreed they were all due new clothes and they are fully kitted out now.

The boys clothes are gorgeous too. In fact they are the nicest boys things i think i've seen anywhere. The baby boys fox jumper is gorgeous. Would look ace with the tartans.

Am rather jealous at these £10 vouchers everyone else is getting! I'm going to give boden 6 friend's details to try to get money on my account (£15 i think). Hopefully you can use it on top of discount!

if you read the small print on the vouvher it does say you cansue it with offer codes.
the 15 % off is A354 ( think) nas the £10 off is XNHT.

Hello Boden Fans, I want to buy a girls size 3 boot. What size do I order? I promised God-daughter to buy the boots before I saw the price! she'll be getting felt-tipped pens for the next 4 years! I'm still going to buy them.

Oh princessmel, i feel your joy, those tops are gorgeous. Dp loved them too. I nearly got dd#2 the bear one, she said she loved it even if it was a bit scary! In the end though she decided she prefered the girls applique tops. Can't wait for them to arrive!

starbear - i have not bought any shoes from boden sorry so cannot advise. Hopefully someone will be along soon.
