lol ruby

Just read that they are long, so am thinking they may be good for after I've had dc3 to cover my tummy.

Might order one after all...

pleasechange · 03/09/2009 11:35

hi chattermouse - I'm hoping mine will arive today (optimistic maybe). I ordered it royal mail (always have problems with the courier) and the email said 2-3 days I think. Really would have needed a mac today as my umbrella finally packed in!

princessmel · 03/09/2009 11:37

okaaaay so if I was to order one , what's the £10 off code please?

flowerybeanbag · 03/09/2009 11:44

Well I just ordered £271-worth of stuff and paid £196 plus free delivery. I bought the offer of the day, plus spent over £200 which took 12% off the whole order, then applied the A354 code which got me another 15% off. Bargain!

NoahFence · 03/09/2009 12:29

am a saddo
just wore my urban mac in black to town and stood next to a woman in the summer magenta one in a queue

EleanoraBuntingCupcake · 03/09/2009 12:30

did small children point and shout 'look that lady has the same coat as you mummy' - dd has done this on occassion.

pleasechange · 03/09/2009 12:36

flowery - I'm not getting the discount for spending over £200. Do you know how I get this?

NoahFence · 03/09/2009 12:36

no there were no kids to be seen apart from hair flicky private schools one - its really NOT good value for money is it?

flowerybeanbag · 03/09/2009 12:50

It seemed to just come off mine automatically allnew. Do you have a catalogue? My most recent one had a code on the back for it, it's the stepped offer.

pleasechange · 03/09/2009 12:52

I'll have a look at the catalogue this eve

chattermouse · 03/09/2009 13:10

Allnew - i will be very miffed if yours arrives today (joking )! You must report back as soon as you are able! I am nearly in a cold sweat about mine. Keep wondering if i did the right thing getting it in multi. Am sure the red would have looked better on me, just thought better to have a more neutral coat. Arrrgh. What if i've made a big mistake?

I see you are considering a £200 spend. Pray do tell what you have your eye on. I love knowing what other people are getting!I am so excited about my stuff coming. But gutted now that won't see most of it till week after next probably as only put some of the items through yesterday. Still gives me time to lose at least another 2lb on my diet by then though so not all bad!

I am loving that Hotchpotch dress in red. Not to everyones taste i know but am feeling like chancing it. I hope it fits and that it is loose enough to lift up over bust so i can breastfeed (will wear leggings underneath - won't be flashing my knickers don't worry!). There are little buttons down the front but maybe they are decorative not functional? Opening buttons would make life much easier.

Come on Johnnie, hurry up and bring me my stuff!!!

pleasechange · 03/09/2009 13:15

so, just called up to get the code for spend over £300 to get 15% off. Entered that fine, but then can't enter the A354 one over it - aaggh!

flowerybeanbag · 03/09/2009 13:18

That's weird allnew. It does say in the terms and conditions that the offer can't be used in conjunction with another offer, but when I loaded up my basket, it came to £271, then a chunk was taken off without me doing anything, which must have been the 12%. I then put the A354 code in the code box and a load more came off. Perhaps I was lucky and they've closed a technical loophole since I put my order in?

pleasechange · 03/09/2009 14:04

flowery - maybe, anyway lucky you

chattermouse - pmsl at the thought of you bf with the dress over your head. I like that dress as well, have been mulling it over in the ink colour. Something makes me think it won't work on me though - anything high waisted cuts me off mid-nork in an unflattering fashion. I got the 'flattering' knitted dress yesterday and it did just that .

So now I'm trying to order - the biker jacket (just to try it out ), the velvet coat (again out of curiousity as I'm not quite sure), then scoop knitted top and couple of essential v-necks. Am making myself feel better about the £££ of the order by thinking that I'll probably return at least half

Have you ruled out the wrap type dresses for bf?

chattermouse · 03/09/2009 14:38

Allnew - OOOhhh sounds like you are getting some goodies! Bet the velvet coat will be lovely and biker jacket is fab too.

Downer about the knitted dress. I am likely to have the same problem with the hotchpotch. I am not large of nork (sadly). But i am 5ft 9.5 (i always remember the '.5' bit!) so i find that dresses often don't fit as i am too long in the body and so waist and bustline are too high on me. God, i just had a thought. I bought the dress in regular, cos i want it to be short (may as well flash the old pins a bit). I hope that the long length isn't cut lower at waist and bust for taller people. Perhaps it would have fitted ne and the regular won't? Fuck!!!!! I am sending myself mental here. Perhaps online shopping isn't for me. I am better seeing and trying all sizes and colours on in a shop.

And johnnie and his slow delivery just gives me more time to torture myself over my decisions!

God speed you Boden delivery man.

Like you though i am feeling quite guilty about the total cost of my orders. it might well be for the best if the dress does not fit and the hand printed cari is vile!

Maybe i will end up in M&S looking for a wrap dress after all.......

chattermouse · 03/09/2009 14:43

BTW, to save money, might be better to put you cheaper items through 1 at a time with £10 off £30 offer? I did my cheaper bits this way and saved £60 in total!

pleasechange · 03/09/2009 15:01

chattermouse - sometimes I think that I'd be better off looking in actual shops, but I think really I'm slightly addicted to ordering stuff and receiving it in the post tbh! Also can't really be bothered trailing round shops

what about the boden wrap type dresses? - probably loose enough round the neckline to pull down?

What discount did you get altogether on your big order? I can get the 15%, but was hoping for luck similar to flowery's!

HelenaBonhamCarter · 03/09/2009 15:38

I ordered the colourblock shift from the sale (straps rather than cap sleeves) in the rhubarb colour. It is absolutely gorgeous though I ahdn't considered it before due to the colours. Somehow it works and the fit is amazing. I could get away with bigger norks in it too.
The jersey embellished black one is great too but a large fit. Keeping both.

pleasechange · 03/09/2009 15:46

helena - that dress looks nice. If you don't mind me asking, are you of large norkage? I tried a shift from the summer stuff and it did nothing for me so just wondered what sort of shape it fits best?

chattermouse · 03/09/2009 16:02

Splendid helena! Good to know that the sale items are pleasing. I am waiting for the sailor hoody and a stripe rosette cardi from the sale to arrive. Hope they will be as good as yours.

Allnew - Boden do wrap dresses? Jesus no! Why are you telling me this? I cannot spend anymore, lol! I will look now.I have missed them so far. Re the money saving. Like you i got the mac for £60 (20% off then 15% on top). Then i got a big order worth £236, but it worked out best to group items as close to £30 each and put them through saving £10 each purchase. so saved £60 this way and total cost was reduced to £176.

Then yesterday ordered £168 (dress and cardi) and got 15% (£25) off also ordered £62 of sale stuff and no discount available on that at all. I didn't know about the extra 12% referenced above. i suppose it might have worked on my dress and cardi? - but they weren't over £200 so maybe not anyway? But i did get the free cord bag with yesterdays purchases cos i spent over £150! God all these offers are so confusing.

So in total i have spent actually spent £437 and have saved spending an extra £133 by way of reduction codes and reductions via the prices in the sale, and got a free cord bag.

God, am hoping i don't like a fair amount so it can go back.......

chattermouse · 03/09/2009 16:04

Just re-read my post and it reads like a maths lesson, sorry...!
