strapless bras make my boobs look like spaniel ears. Not good. So no skinny straps pour moi.

LaTrucha · 17/03/2009 20:58

Go on. Have another look. It really is nice.

janeite · 17/03/2009 21:03

Mmm don't like the neckline or the pocket on that denim one but I do like the skirty bit. I don't like the Ghost ones either - does that make me a Mumsnet heathen?

Pollyanna · 17/03/2009 21:04

I bought that dress duckyfuzz too (also in black). It looks really nice on.

duckyfuzz · 17/03/2009 21:08

oh that's good pollyanna, seems nice and simple (and a bargain too!)

MrsDanversAteMyIpod · 17/03/2009 21:36

I'll have to take it back now about thick straps as I like this one

Ooh I like that one Mrs Danvers.

Tillyscoutsmum · 17/03/2009 22:34

Amazingly versatile dress apparently ....

JeanPoole · 17/03/2009 22:53

here what do you think to this?

OP posts:
weepootle · 18/03/2009 07:29

MrsDanvers that is gorgeous! I got all excited then, making plans to go and try it on this morning when hanaflower reminded me that I won't be able to do dresses this year either because of bf .

MrsDanversAteMyIpod · 18/03/2009 08:28

Oh dear, didn't want to make bf mums sad.

googled bf dresses after hanaflower's post, think there's a definite gap in the market for decent ones!

squeaver · 18/03/2009 08:32

TSM - that's a good one, the Joe Brown one.

JustCallMeGoat · 18/03/2009 08:37

mrsdanvers wins imo. it doesn't make me think of sex and the city or 1970's caravan upholstery and i might actually wear it.

claireybeemine · 18/03/2009 10:24

Oh I dunno, you can bf in shirt dresses...or if you are small of nork like me then anything with a fairly low neckline goes. It does involve pulling your neckline down quite a bit but I don't let that stop me

lisalisa · 18/03/2009 12:54

mrsmaidamess - great name btw! - that first great plains dress was lovely but I can't believe it comes only as size 16 tops! Most companies now go to size 18 surely? Or maybe i just need to get to grips with my diet!

Great plains nearly had a sale then.....

dearprudence · 18/03/2009 13:34

Very nice MrsDanvers.

If I see anyone in these dresses now, I'll be wondering which MNer they are.

georgimama · 18/03/2009 14:45

what about some of these?

JustCallMeGoat · 18/03/2009 14:52

i like 'princess' in green and i would love to march across a cow field in it.

MrsMattie · 19/03/2009 15:14

The Warehouse and Ghost dresses I ordered have arrived and are lovely. I'll definitely have to look at the Ghost sale in future - such a lovely, well made dress. So happy with it!

mrsmalumbas · 19/03/2009 15:56

If I wore a dress to do my school run, everyone would think I was on my way to a wedding. Way over the top! I don't have a special school run outfit, just clothes - and sadly that mostly seems to be jeans or some kind of trousers with a t-shirt. All this talk of little ballet flats and spaghetti straps just makes me and a little bit [hmmm]

mrsmalumbas · 19/03/2009 15:57

even

kickassangel · 19/03/2009 18:26

my contender
even though i don't do a school run & would never consider wearing a dress

LaTrucha · 19/03/2009 20:17

But wearing dresses is FAR easier than wearing trousers and T'shirt, Mrsmalumbas. Give it a whirl?

HumphreyCobbler · 19/03/2009 20:22

god you lot are a bad influence
