help me Rhonda

hereidrawtheline · 16/03/2009 19:27

you know what on reflection the thither dress would make me look fatter I reckon.

SenorToucan · 16/03/2009 19:27

NO one found a dress last year as we wore balaclavas all JUne.

mrsmaidamess · 16/03/2009 19:28

Xl in great plains is about a 16-18 I think. Their stuf does not come up very big...altho their returns are good so if its crap, send it back.

JustCallMeGoat · 16/03/2009 19:28

very progressive vicar's wife c.1948

squeaver · 16/03/2009 19:29

Waaaaay ahead of you.

I posted in January with a nomination for this year's model here.

And I took the flak on behalf of all you S&Bers

JustCallMeGoat · 16/03/2009 19:30

fishwife?

hereidrawtheline · 16/03/2009 19:30

hmm I am really an 18 though I have been known to occassionally fit a 16 it isnt a safe bet. Either way I think the dress would actually not flatter me though I cant put my finger on why. Still want a school run dress!

SenorToucan · 16/03/2009 19:31

i never find GP a good fit.

brimfull · 16/03/2009 19:32

squever's is lovely

we should rename this elusive dress

casual day dress?

JustCallMeGoat · 16/03/2009 19:32

arses

hereidrawtheline · 16/03/2009 19:34

you have to be kidding me

JustCallMeGoat · 16/03/2009 19:38

this dress comes with an explanatory dvd but it appears the model has been struck with some sort of paralysis

hereidrawtheline · 16/03/2009 19:40

why on earth does it come with a dvd?

JustCallMeGoat · 16/03/2009 19:43

go to the plumo website you can watch the 'explanatory' video online. it is hilarious.

MrsMattie · 16/03/2009 19:44

Ooh, the Great Plains ones are fab. Might have to tuck in!

I've just ordered this in a bid to Stop Wearing Black And Brown

janeite · 16/03/2009 19:48

The Gap Liberty print one is lovely but it is all sold out in Birmingham - grrr. The 'thither' dress is imho hideous beyond belief. The green one is lovely but far too dressy for normal day wear. The Kew one looks long and frumpy. I have a denim shirt dress which is great for Spring and cooler summer days as it has three quarter length sleeves - very old now though. In the summer I have two shift dresses from Gap, both also v old now. Gap is often a contender later in the season.

pointydog · 16/03/2009 19:54

I haev been very disappopinted by Great Plains recently. Really don't like those dresses or any of their other stuff

pointydog · 16/03/2009 19:55

lol @ goat and the paralysis

hereidrawtheline · 16/03/2009 19:55

oh my god I just watched the video! wow!! It is hilarious. Though in all honesty, if I were a size 12 (or 10) and was rolling in money I reckon I would buy the dress it looks like a lot of fun! But the model looks silly in that pose.

Pollyanna · 16/03/2009 19:59

there is Lovely one in White stuff. I have it in Navy and am currently wearing it with footless tights.

Ronaldinhio · 16/03/2009 20:03

cross seasonal?

Ronaldinhio · 16/03/2009 20:06

love this...

LaTrucha · 16/03/2009 20:06

I'd like to know how the pelmet bit on that dress looks.

I like the Great Plains green one. I like thither too but it wouldn't flatter me

Just Call Me Goat - a vain attempt to make the dress look louche?

Good dress if you're pregnant and doing the school run.

SilentTerror · 16/03/2009 20:08

Polly,am coveting that White Stuff one in purple.
Bought a Great Plains one ('Forget Me Knot') I think,in sea green. Wore it recently on winter sun holiday.Easy, simple pull on dress.
Perfect for school run!
