Hello everyone, old and new.

This is about feeling better about yourself and looking and feeling better etc. But mainly we chat and laugh quite a lot, which has all got to help towards happiness etc.

The rules (anyone can join):

  • Sunscreen at all times
  • No or little booze. Wine or Champagne or whatever at the weekend is allowed if you want it
  • Walking is important, a small amount every day if possible. 30 mins if you can
  • Lots of water, aim for 2 litres a day
  • Apply body cream as often as possible
  • Use hand cream
  • Go to bed early, by 10.30pm if pos
  • Eat healthily
  • Be happy

The idea is that we all feel happier, healthier and glow with the good food, sleep, exercise, water and lack of sun damage.

Some people are doing India and Neris's Idiot Proof Diet (Atkins, more or less), others are doing Slimy World, others are just being as healthy as possible.

Welcome everyone, have a good week.

Am totally at ClaudiaSchiffer

November in UK? Driving 15 miles each way in the dark and fog last night to watch dd swim against another school

After being so good last week re alcohol I did succumb at the w/e to some cava and red wine.

Did half-an- hour aerobics yesterday, am intending to do the full hour today.

The best effect of aerobics is that it pulls my face back up a little, its definitely anti-sag

Stick on a bit of Clarins beauty flash balm and one could pass for late 40's

Hello all

Sorry I haven't been here much!

Please can I pass the baton to one of you to carry on this thread?

I am trying to do lots of other stuff and I just don't think I'll be around enough to be able to cheer you up with how crap I am motivate you Feel free to re name it "bama's 10yy thread" or whatever!

It's also partly because I don't want my vile sisters reading anything I post and so I am easing off what I post here but I will pop along now and again and see how you are. (and this is the thread where I was most open and honest about my feelings so this in particular is one I don't want them to read)

Anyone who wants to keep in touch is welcome to email me on wickedwater witch @ g mai l . co m without the spaces.

Adieu (but not goodbye, I will be back, I'm sure and I haven't left mn or anything )
You are all very lovely and I've loved this thread, xxxx to all (with apologies to anyone who hates online kisses!)

Hi Claudia,

Slight hijack here but I'm visiting from the juicing thread. Are you still putting the weight back on with only one meal per day? I was horrified to read that!

Saggarmakersbottomknocker · 04/11/2008 18:55

RL impinging on your MNetting www? Don't be a stranger

at CS's view. FGS why would you be missing England? Tis grim and cold and dark.

ds2 enjoyed his gig but didn't arrive home on time, cue much pacing and texting. The lift home his mate's mother was supposed to provide didn't materialise and he had to get the bus. dd had a good time too but got far too cold than is good for her. She's not sleeping much again - think last week's appointment actually messed with her head a bit although she won't admit it.

Arf @ the Slimy World method of punishment!

LoveAndSqualor · 04/11/2008 19:19

WWW, sorry to hear about RL readers. Would you like us to restart a thread pronto so you don't keep coming up in an active convos thread title? I feel ill-equipped to thread-carry at this time (blardy RL for me too) - any of the old-timers fancy volunteering? Please do keep posting, though, www, won't you - as often as poss?

Slippercamp in full force today. Went to ante-nataler's house - many mothers, much cake, lots of wine. I am ashamed (and buzzing on sugar).

MavisGrind · 04/11/2008 19:59

Sorry to hear about RL interfering with vital MNing WWW - what will we do without your chivvying??

L&S - my life seems to revolve around many mothers, cake and tea at the moment. I actually weighed myself today (swore I wouldn't until at least April) and although the damage so far is not too bad I'm painfully aware new baby takes up a tiny amount of the weight gained. Ah well.

Claudia - I know what you mean about missing Britain at this time of year - we came back from Canberra in August and it just isn't right that November/December are hot. Christmas just doesn't make sense in hot weather . I hope dh is being less of an arse.

Saggars - glad to hear DS got home in one piece!

Have been slippering rather than booting the last couple of days - feel truly terrible today though so have mainly been eating fruit. The Soap and Glory hand cream seems good on first impressions. Will let you know how it pans out.

ClaudiaSchiffer · 05/11/2008 07:18

WWW sorry you feel you can't carry on with this thread. Such a shame rl is getting in the way.

DivaSkyChick I've answered your question at some length on the other thread, but in essence the answer is NO .

Mavis, surely the true meaning of Christmas is to do with snuggling up in a cosy pub with a large glass of wine, listening to Slade on the stereo and watching the sleet lash down outside? Not soaking up the sun on some paradise beach whilst dh chucks slabs of meat on a barbie.

Things are more cheerful in the Shiffer household. DH has admitted to being a total f'wit for the past fortnight and is suitably contrite (for now). So peace once again reigns. I had a lovely (if wet) walk with the dog this morning and have been quite good foodwise. Have neglected my hands AND have been washing up gloveless so my hands are definately 10 years older at least than the rest of me.

Saggarmakersbottomknocker · 06/11/2008 08:44

Morning to bootcampers, slippercampers and lurkers

I need a kick up the bum. My feet are a mess , I'm back on the booze and I'm fannying about at the gym. I'm going to make a concerted effort between now and Christmas otherwise the festive season will have me back up at the weight I was when I first signed up.

On the home front ds2 has gone off to Stratford to see Hamlet. Is David Tennant still playing? He seems less than bothered. And I've sent dh off with a flea in his ear - he's developed an annoying habit of undermining me in a jokey way when I'm trying to keep the kids in line. Grrr.

eemie · 06/11/2008 09:05

Morning all

Dashing through - we have no gas, men are digging up the drive to get at the mains as I speak and I have so many things to do before Saturday lunchtime I'm afraid my head may explode.

Walked ++ this morning but not particularly healthy eating as didn't anticipate being unable to cook.

Aargh.

But shouldn't we start new thread? Someone think of an encouraging title..

Saggarmakersbottomknocker · 06/11/2008 09:08

Shall we start a new one for Monday? But keep it as www's in honour of our fallen comrade

arfishy · 06/11/2008 13:40

at the loss of WWW. I can't believe the cushion plumping has got her already.

In the interests of raking up the past. I ended up driving behind the legendary EVIL VICTORIA (TM) today, in her funky little 'bootcamp of death' 4WD. And eager readers, she was stuffing her face with something that didn't look like it was on her bootcamp issue food plan.

Don't think I didn't notice Evil V.

If it weren't for the staggering success of my juicing plan (oh go on then, (TM)), I would be re-enrolled with Evil V for the November session. Lucky escape methinks.

winnie · 07/11/2008 09:50

I don't think I am ever going to be able to catch up with everyones news but I am going to try to look in a couple of times a week So much has happened in the last year and all the good done on this thread previously has gone down the drain. I am huge again!!!!!! and I am feeling very very middle aged and knackered (frankly). So I am thinking of setting myself a goal (something like the race for life) and then I have to do it and get back in control.
It is so lovely to see you all still here

winnie · 07/11/2008 09:53

WWW, sorry it is all so difficult at the moment. I understand. It is why I've been absent for a year (almost). Hope things improve soon {{{{}}}}

Cammelia · 07/11/2008 17:27

Just want to say hi Winnie

VanessaParody · 07/11/2008 20:52

WINNIEEEEEE! How nice to see you!

WWW - so sad that you won't be here daily.

It is I, TheDuchessOfNorks!

I've been reasonably good this week but have had all the DCs waking up with nightmares, illness etc all week. I am so, so tired. And as of this morning, I have a horrible sore throat. Fortunately DD1s early Saturday morning swimming lesson has been cancelled so I can have a lie-in and a really lazy day. Thank goodness I didn't invite anyone for our usual bonfire night party.

Are we starting a new thread for Monday? I'll do it Sunday night if nobody else has.

yoyo · 07/11/2008 21:04

Hello all.

Sorry to hear of sleepless nights DoN/VP. Hope you get some rest at the w/e.

Winnie - so glad to see you back. Most of us still here, trying our best (some more successfully than others).

Arfishy - how much longer on the juice?

Mixed week for me. Much more active than I have been but not especially virtuous on food front. Concentrating on the positive though.

Marina · 07/11/2008 21:10

Am still here

Saggarmakersbottomknocker · 07/11/2008 21:17

Where is ureb? - if you're lurking and not posting, hope you're OK.

Mail me if you want jax p 63 at hotmail dot com

Great name Norks.

Hello Winnie and arf at the muffins Marina.

ds2 wasn't too impressed with David Tennant as Hamlet dd is still not sleeping.

I've been good though (since yesterday )- two good gym sessions, no booze in the house and I've done my feet.

LoveAndSqualor · 08/11/2008 09:15

Just on to say a quick hello; exDP has taken DS for the weekend and I am about to embark on moving. Will be without computer until tomorrow night, I think (or possibly even Monday morning () ()); will check back in then. Duchess please pleeeeeease start a new thread on Sunday night thank you .

Winnie, so lovely to see you; arfishy thank you for the Evil V update, which saw me splutter toast crumbs across the computer. What was she eating?! Do tell.

OK: here I go. Wish me luck. See you on the other side!

Marina · 08/11/2008 14:00

Best of luck L&S, will be thinking of you

eemie · 08/11/2008 16:21
