Why don't ginger people just dye their hair a normal colour?

Surely they should stop inflicting pain on the rest of us and go brunette or something?

me and my sister got a hard time at school with it too

lots of ginger nuts and ginner comments all the time (i mean something orginal purlease)

then there was the ginger nut song

but this was just primary school once we hit high school it was not bad at all but then we are not of the really vibrant orange variety- i also feel that girls don;t get as hard a time as boys

mustsleep, I don't think I agree with you there about the girls not having as hard a time as the boys - I was in a class with a bly with fiery ginger hair (amazing colour!) and I was strawberry blonde but I got far more teased than he did (possibly cos he was a bit handy with his fists...) - but then I also had glasses and was a bit brainy so there was sooo much more scope for the little toerags...

If there is one thing that REALLY pisses me off it is that people see having red hair as some kind of handicap/bad thing. WTF?? It's HAIR fgs, it's not scales! And it pees me right off that people think it's something that it's ok to take the piss out of at all!!
Anyway, one of our most successful monarchs had flaming red hair (renowned for HER temper, too!)
