How can I discreetly manage facial hair while wild camping?

Unfortunately for me, as a woman, I seem to have plenty of neck, chic and upper lip hair. I don't know if it is because of hormones, the pill, etc. I used to pluck but switched to shaving years ago. I'm going wild camping with a very new bf at the weekend. How can I discreetly shave by a Loch!? I don't think a hairly face is an option, we're spending 24 hours together, within 24 hours it will be 1mm of stubble. 🙁

And chin hair I meant.

A manual epilator perhaps?

I really wouldn’t worry about 1mm. Unless he’s a dermatologist with outstanding eyesight he definitely wouldn’t notice!

Take a mirror and do it when you nip to the loo! I have one of those facial hair razors, just chuck one in your washbag and should be fine, no?
Also what colouring are you? Since i have been using a Phillips lumea, I have to shave facial hair so much less (but i have ideal colouring, fairly pale skin and dark hair). I used to pluck daily as i was ashamed of shaving, wasted far too much time!

It's wildcamping, there won't be a bathroom. I will look up how an epilator works but, I don't want him to feel my stubble, 🙁 will be wanting a kiss though...

I've got one; it makes a low hum. However wild the conditions, you'll get a chance to perform natural functions, right? At which point, out with the trimmer & a little powder compact mirror.

So an epilator claims it removes hair for a month, is that true?

How are you going to pee? Whatever you’re doing for the privacy of that.. mirror.. shaver.. not really sure what the issue or worry is?

Can you do it while he or you goes to the loo/for a wash. If it’s an electric shaver (which I use) you can just pretend you’re doing your legs.

Take a razor and shaving oil, it only takes a few seconds to sort it out.

One of those flawless Touch things, takes 2 mins.

I second the Lumea (or similar device) they've been a gamechanger. I have ideal colouring as well (pale skin, dark hair) but then that's also what made the hair so horrible to have on my face. I'm virtually free of it now aside from the odd plucking. It genuinely changed my life as someone who had quick thick hair.

Failing this, well, you could probably manage a quick swipe with a razor during a loo trip.

Yes I'll try the epilator, I'll order one now. When you pee in the wild you don't have a sink behind a Bush. I usually use a razor at a sink. I've loads of hair and usually can peer in a mirror to check it's all gone. Oh well, I'll try my best. Thanks.

I just do a quick dry shave with a razor. I’ve done it when he’s nipped to loo, or when I have. I usually do it in shower without mirror, I don’t need a mirror I can feel where it is!

If you think your facial hair is hormonal, I wouldn't use the Lumea. It can make the hair worse, thicker and lots more of it!

Well it was definitely true for me and it's been said to me in person by beauticians and on here.

I wish I had listened when posters here told me as it's been a lot of effort to get rid of it.

These are great. Really cheap, manual, and they basically pluck multiple hairs at once. You just hold each end, bend it, and roll it over the hairs. It’s a bit ouchy but it takes seconds.

Veet wax strips before you go, I have pcos and regularly wax my face (when the house is free!)

Can you wax or immac it before hand?
Then it should last longer than 24 hours

Tweezerman facial hair remover. Takes a bit of practice to use but it’s saved me an absolute fortune as I was getting facial waxes every 3 weeks (and still had long hairs growing in between appointments).
My lip and chin look so much better now. Wish I’d known sooner!

The tweezerman is just an expensive epilator (springy thing).

I went to Everest base camp with my PCOS bearded lady beard and did what @Gizzasec suggested. I had a little magnifying handbag mirror and this little electric razor that was the size of a ballpoint. Nobody suspected a thing.
