How can I discreetly manage facial hair while wild camping?

Unfortunately for me, as a woman, I seem to have plenty of neck, chic and upper lip hair. I don't know if it is because of hormones, the pill, etc. I used to pluck but switched to shaving years ago. I'm going wild camping with a very new bf at the weekend. How can I discreetly shave by a Loch!? I don't think a hairly face is an option, we're spending 24 hours together, within 24 hours it will be 1mm of stubble. 🙁

Peeing behind a bush is one thing but if there’s no toilet block, where will you poo?

I live in a touristy area and get very annoyed by inconsiderate campers who use our local park woods to camp in (despite signs saying no camping) and then you come across bits of used toilet paper floating around where they’ve obviously had a dump. It’s pretty disgusting really!

One digs a small hole, called a "cathole", with a trowel and buries it. The real question is, what if the OP is due to menstruate?

I think it's better for OP to push back about the "wild" bit of this camping trip and push for somewhere with a washblock. If BF doesn't like this, better to find out about such incompatibilities early on.

OP, did he suggest this? Something has just occurred to me.

I would be very wary about heading into the wilderness with a new boyfriend, especially if we were swerving prebooked campsites and other places with people around.

Being completely clear: if I was looking to rape and murder someone who had two-thirds of my punch strength, then dispose of the weighted corpse into a deep body of water, a wild camping trip to a loch would be a perfect opportunity.

Say you are doing some make up and just do it quickly in the tent with a mirror . He is hardly going to sit looking at you ?

Why are people thinking the boyfriend suggested the trip? Perhaps OP is into this?

@selffellatingouroborosofhate ’s words have hit a nerve with me.
@Anon2025December how long have you known this new boyfriend?
It does seem to have been his idea, hence the sudden panic about facial hair. I was coming on here to say that he might have already noticed and isn’t bothered in the slightest. But now I have a bad feeling about this and advise you not to go ❤️

If OP had suggested this, she'd either not care about the stubble or already have a means of removing it under those circumstances. It's unlikely that someone self-conscious about facial hair would take up wild camping without figuring out a reliable, backwoods-appropriate removal mechanism. If nothing else, a self-conscious person would want the hair to come off at the end of the trip before returning to civilisation.
