It's been a little quiet on the exciting edit and beauty releases front what with all the advent malarky but summer is drawing to a close and soon those autumn/winter releases and holiday edits will be popping up to tempt us.

I've previously spent my BD credit on both Isabel Marant and Celine sunglasses, a Liberty print dressing gown and a fabulous bottle of Liberty gin for my husband. I'm planning on buying a Strathberry bag next time there's a £100 off offer. They have lots of lovely things in the home department too.

You can. It's very handy! I've picked up a couple of nice treats when I've had BD funds and needed a treat that felt like free!

I spent my BD credit on a Toteme bag in the sale. I seem to rarely spend it on beauty nowadays, although I’m hanging out for Liberty to get the new shades of Violette FR Bisou Balm and Bisou Jelly Balm. I’m feeling very impatient!

How do you get a code? I asked my husband to check his BL account but liberty doesn't come up 😐

That’s strange @JoRaRaRa liberty has always come up for me on blue light and worked.

Is it a code that you get from the BL website?

Well I opened the outer box of CB advent with the intention of keeping it but the outer box is so flimsy almost every corner/ edge of the advent box is damaged, which has really put me off. I’ve emailed CB to complain.

I’ve pre-ordered the advent grooming calendar from Look Fantastic for my husband. Only £77 (says it’s worth £469).

Mine's meant to be arriving today 😬 If that one that's apparently gone missing in royal mail's network ever turns up, I dread to think what state it will be in 🤣

its actually Key worker discount for Liberty. If you scroll to the bottom of the Liberty home page, click on Key worker discount and it takes you to a page to verify. You can upload id or payslip I think. It then produces a discount code. Hope that helps

@JoRaRaRa BLU10-PCLRC3WFLH try that it should be 10% and comes up under my blue light app.

@IlovePond no I always get 10% blue light through the app and it’s worked on the likes of candles etc or Biologique etc. that’s strange it isn’t working for you xx

Thanks all 🩷 @user593 sent me a code so I was able to get 10% off the trainers I wanted 🥰 made me finally take the plunge and press buy, using my bd credit. Hopefully it'll stop me from buying anything else today 🤞🏻 (not looking at hourglass palettes, Spacenk AC or Sephora AC) 🤣

I had a code from BL that looked similar to above but it said code not valid no matter what I tried to buy with it.

I might have better luck in-store.

I couldn’t find the keyworker link on the Liberty page so I don’t know where it’s hiding. However, I found something in the T&C that said GoCertify k/w discounts couldn’t be used for the advent calendars.

I have finally got both my BL code and the K/W 10% via Gocertify to work on a random make up item at Liberty. However, neither stacks with the BD discount for me so makes no difference to the price. However, it’s good to know they do it.

I wonder if the BL discount would stack with BD members’ discount in store - I will check that out when I go.

I was about to comment that Emma hardie was my fave too. I also love Emma Lewisham but it does need a bit of extra help when it comes to stubborn mascara.

grown alchemist’s cream cleanser is pretty good too, and does a pretty decent job of getting eye makeup off.

I will be giving the Tocobo one a go next!

Intrigued as to how you use the hourglass palettes as well please. They look gorgeous but how do you use them?!

@Franklin101 - Hourglass state in the FAQ, that the palettes should NOT be used on the eyes, but lots of people do use them as eyeshadow. (I don’t, because if a company says their products are not to be used on the eyes - I listen!)

Every time new palettes are released, various influencers on YouTube release videos showing how they use them. Some of these ladies use the palettes as eyeshadow and on the cheeks, others as cheek/forehead makeup only, (as recommended by HG).

Not an offer or GWP question but I thought you would be good people to ask. Have there been any exciting eyeshadow palette releases recently? I’m after something colourful like the lovely Byredo ones (still haven’t got over missing out on Mineralscapes) and wondered if there’s any good ones out that I’ve not spotted. I love blues, greens, greys, purple, anything but neutrals and pinks really. Any ideas v gratefully received

Not really a recent release but have you tried Lisa Eldridge palettes?

I have Betty which is lovely - unfortunately out of stock at the moment but they do seem to restock periodically.
