It's been a little quiet on the exciting edit and beauty releases front what with all the advent malarky but summer is drawing to a close and soon those autumn/winter releases and holiday edits will be popping up to tempt us.

I love how you can adjust based on your stash. I’m reorganising and have filled 2 large drawers with unopened beauty kits yet I’m still eyeing up multiple advent calendars. 🙈

I'm wondering if it's the Verden Herbanum Bath Oil. The bath oil is included in the mystery Wellness bundle and FTF was offering as a GWP on Verden minimal spend so clearlybhad a lot of stock.

I've ordered the mystery product along with the Wellness bundle (I like the oil so will be pleased if the case) and will report back.

I recently arranged everything “face” into two big canvas boxes (very full!) and a separate area for body products and was dead pleased with myself 😀 now I will have to rethink!

Just remembered I forgot to mention a couple of days ago I finally managed to get one of the LF free review products they email out periodically. Usually they're all gone within a few minutes.

It arrived yesterday. It's not that exciting but I'll try it- Aveda travel size One for All Leave in Elixir worth £13.

All in I've had a good week. Sephoria ticket, prize from Sunday Times Style, free product (I did pay postage) from LF and the LiB K&J box was a bargain.

I’m not a stickler for expiration dates but I do worry about stuff going bad before I get the chance to use it.

Oh, I've always wondered if anyone actually manages to get the free LF products. I catch the email sometimes minutes after receiving and never seem to get them. Nice to know someone actually got one!

A lucky week! I got one of those emails from SNK a while back and then was doubly lucky as they sent me the wrong product, told me to keep it and then sent me the right product too 😅 Only time I’ve ever got a free product for a review though.

I've been checking tiktok regularly for the Latest in Beauty box of Japanese and Korean products. I was only getting offered £30.60 but just now checked in last 5 mins and also had a £9 tiktok voucher so have snapped it up for £21.60!

Advent calendars, like birthday calories, don't count.

I found a vanity case I'd forgotten about (the one from the Lancome edit last year) but it was empty. The opposite of a stash!
I went a bit mad during the Black Friday sales last year and became sheepishly determined to bring my stash down to 'normal' levels, but I've done it so successfully that I'm running out of things. I imagine I'm about to swing the other way again with various beauty edits and multiple BACs, and that's before Black Friday begins again. One of the bathroom cupboards is actually empty!

I do have a 'skincare overflow' box in my wardrobe but it's a small box and half full.

Thus, I have convinced myself I can run amok with my bank card for the next few months before wading knee-deep through serums and moisturisers in January to declare something piteous like, 'I seem to have gone overboard a bit'.

My bedroom renovation is tantalisingly close to completion. New carpet and bed coming next week and my fancy vanity mirror should also be arriving in about a week. As soon as the carpet and bed are in I'm going to get DS to put the vanity unit together.

I'm really looking forward to organising the drawers but I suspect once I pull together all the make up I have from the various bags they currently live in it might be quite 😳. Not having proper storage up to now has probably allowed me to think it's not as bad as it is.

As much as I hate the idea of not using everything I think I do need to have a bit of a cull as I've definitely made some mistakes with products and colours that just don't suit me. I suppose the silver lining is that by going through that process I do now have a good idea of what does work for me.

@OvaHere - I did actually enjoy going through my stuff, although I was really annoyed to find I had used my Estée Lauder skincare, (that I use all the time), in the wrong order and a lot had gone out of date!

I do think CheckFresh is a good site - I just wish more brands were covered!

I need to renovate my bedroom too; I part did it a few years ago then other things got in the way.
I ended up buying a load of plastic storage drawers a few months ago to tidy/combine my stash and I still had a load that wouldn’t fit in the drawers, so like you it forced me to have a cull. I still have overspill but I’m gradually working my way through and being more realistic about what I will and won’t use. My problem was that as quick as I was selling stuff, new edits were being released so I was just refilling the space!
I am being more disciplined now though ahead of advent season. Yesterday I went to a shopping outlet and The Cosmetic Company had the Tom Ford eyeshadow palettes at heavy discount again, I was sooo tempted but in the end I resisted. I am a bit disappointed now but I know I will soon get over it.
