Ooh, thanks for this - been waiting for it to reduce for what feels like ages.

I waited so long I bought the lip pencil I wanted from it so I'm not going to buy it now.

Originally I was going to get the Liberty AC with my credit, but I don't love it enough. I've had it several times, but this year has my favourite design. For me, Liberty and Fortnum & Mason have the most gorgeous packaging this year.
I'm still going to ask for a luxury AC for my birthday and Space NK is appealing to me more now.
Now that Liberty sells Strathberry, I may use my credit next time they have a £100 off a £300 spend promotion.
I still really want some of the AC scents so please DM if you're selling any on eBay/Vinted - especially from Liberty, Harrods & Sephora. Thank you.

They snooze they lose. It didn’t seem like it was selling that well, they could have put a smaller reduction or a flash sale price on it before now to help things along.

@Housewife2010 If I get the Harrods one I’ll be selling the fragrance as I have no interest in it at all. Also selling the fragrance from my Fortnum’s AC when it arrives.

I'm very interested.

I have been lurking for a while so just wanted to say hi. Last year l decided against the SNK then regretted it and ended up buying the SNK FAC which l think came out a bit later and l enjoyed. I really want to like this years SNK but I am just not convinced by the products that have been shown in the leak, will wait and see tomorrow on the reveal. One thing swaying me towards it is that l have £50 indulge credit some of which needs to be used by early October so l could put that towards it. The only other one l am leaning towards is the boots deluxe one, most of it is products or brands l already use but then that’s not very exciting? If there is double or triple advantage points deals on l could be convinced as l am only £60 away from being able to afford a shark LED mask with my boots points. The main aim is that l don’t end up with FOMO like last year. I may like the m&s but the release date is too late as others may have sold out by then? Anyone heard anything about possible m&s contents?

Where are these available please? I've only seen partial contents for either - the Sephora 'reveals' on tiktok etc are definitely AI

Go for the monthly one and use Beauty Detective's code to get a discount on the first month - you don't need the 12 month sub to get the member discounts. I like to skip months if I know I'm not keen on what's coming up (you keep the discounts and can unskip if you decide you like the box after all)

@Advententhusiast - has your spreadsheet flagged up F&M as a contender? I know it has an SDJ product in it, but there are also socks, a candle. I'm tempted, but I might go for Jo Loves this year, which I lusted after last year, but bought too many other BAC's to justify it.

Hello everyone! And thank you @JoRaRaRa for the brilliant threads 😄

I am very late getting myself organised this year and have spent ages trying to catch up on everything.

My first ever beauty advent calendar was an M&S one in 2015 and I still have the original box shaped like a cute Xmas house 🎄 I have had various ones every year since, including Liberty. Last year, I got fed up with having so many eye creams, black eyeliners & red lipsticks that I went for the Look Fantastic Fragrance calendar & I loved it. I tried so many perfumes that I would never had had the chance to test & it was a real treat.
This year, I am tempted by Vogue but keep dithering. It is so expensive but I love the box & it would be a treat! Or, I may go for the LF Fragrance again, as I have their monthly beauty box & credit with them too.

I can’t decide though! Has anyone else picked Vogue? It seems a little bit different but I am just not sure.

We got the contents list from their website last week but think they’ve removed it now. I got screenshots.

Sephora updated their website by adding this years contents to last years item on the app and then realised the contents were out and swiftly removed them so think they are right and agree think the Kayali has changed.

@Ilovecats127 - A belated welcome to the thread 😊, I hope you're finding it a helpful distraction.

I know what it's like to be signed off work and to feel guilty about it, especially when the the things affecting your MH aren't necessarily work related. I was off for 6 weeks recently, partly due to autistic burnout (which apparently was "a new one" to HR). I also struggle with SAD, which has lead to absences over the years.

This time was different though - I didn't feel as guilty about being off work. When I suggested a 2 week fit note my GP was adamant that I needed 6 weeks. For once I listened. I sorted out a thorough handover, made sure nothing important would be missed, put my laptop away and focussed on looking after myself.

It was just what I needed. I had help from my GP in terms of medication and a surprisingly quick talking therapy referral, but my recovery also included reading, family time, shopping (mainly beauty!), general self-care - and batting the guilt away!

Don't feel guilty about being off, it's what you need right now, and definitely don't feel guilty about being interested in all things beauty and AC's. We're all here because we enjoy it, and this little corner of MN has helped many of us through difficult times.

This is a genuinely friendly and supportive thread. Not like the AIBU threads - stay well away from those for now! ❤️

Ah thank you @ElizabethG81& @MrsBnow12- to be fair it still looks quite good even with the different Kayali. I already have a mini of juicy apple so another scent will be nice 😊 and a 50ml k18 is better than the 15ml tiktok was touting, along with different options for the SDJ body wash.

I think I'm still in board for this one, more so than cult or spacenk (although I change my mind on spaceNK every night, just some real duds in there putting me off)

My first post this year. I’m thinking the Liberty calendar might be best I haven’t had it for 2 years, last year was SNK but not keen this year. I also had the LF FAC which I thought was great value. There isn’t one that I think I must get. It’s hard to compare at the moment.

I’m trying to sign up for priority access to the OK Beauty calendar but it won’t accept my e-mail address. When I type it in the box and press the submit button a message appears saying ‘this list does not exist’. Is anyone else trying and having trouble?

Having opened liberty and had a play i can really recommend

The vyrao ever 11. Vyrao a bit hit and miss but this is nice. Cherry with depth.

Violette FR betiste lip stain. Glossy stain, not too drying.

Trinny eye2eye. Nice, easy pink shade.

Usually I find makeup hit and miss in these as its pot luck whether you like the shades but so far so good.

Liberty make up is the best part of it.

The makeup is really good in the Liberty BAC - the reason I'm not getting it is because I already own and love all the makeup

It doesnt rate well on the skincare for my skin. I have done the fragrance comparison and skincare comparison. Its giving me completely different rankings which is making it harder. A lot of the perfumes in the Advents are online exclusives over here so I cannot smell it which makes me doubt.

I do love more all round calenders though. But the socks are too small for me. I have Eur size 45 . Was a pain in the @ss growing up.

Im waiting for the LF, CB, SNK reveals to complete the list, put some more questions in ChatGPT and then Ill make a choice, although LF is locked in for both Beauty and Fragrance already. Its stuff I will actually use.

But I also want a fancy one. Or two. Maybe 3 lol

Liberty is def a no go.

I think this is the first year I'm going to tap out! Really did enjoy SpaceNK one last year, a diversion from my usual Liberty choice (which I don't regret).

But it all seems a bit too same same. Or I've become spoilt! I still have things left over from last year too.

Lily Pebbles will be unveiling the Space NK AC tomorrow. Such a relief it won't be the useless pair from a couple of years ago.
