Re: Liberty

I watched the unboxing and just felt even more ´meh’ about it!

I am so annoyed with myself for joining BD.

However, I am keeping the blooming thing going for now because I want to see if Liberty are doing a men’s calendar and, if so, to see if it’s any better than the women’s.

However, assuming that I don’t buy a 2026 Liberty calendar, I will go in store during the winter sale and use my credit then. I will have about £300 by Xmas that I could have used to buy a better calendar, but it’s my own stupid fault!

Tbf, the last BD was pretty good. October’s had better be spectacular to cheer me up a bit!

Watching the Liberty unboxing confirmed that the calendar isn’t for me. Quite a bit of the skincare I already have from last year’s Harrods and there seemed to be quite a few small sized unexciting items included like a single travel sized shampoo. Pretty box but none of the contents excited me.

Wondering whether to continue paying into the beauty drop.

Well I have made my first decision and pre-ordered the Harrods AC. There are a lot of things I’ll use in there and I really want to try the AB eye cream. I’m pretty sure I won’t be one and done though. I wish all the others would hurry up with their full reveals.

3 eye creams in the Harrods though is bugging me.

This was me last year, I was more lured by the luxury of Harrods than the contents, but there were some things in it I definitely wanted to try.

🩷AB cream, I’ve enjoyed using all of their products and it’s a nice luxury brand.
🩷Medik8 c-tetra, I got loads of these from Fairy on Vinted, it’s my favourite vitamin c serum. (I also love Dermalogica but that’s a lot more spendy).
🩷Valmont prime renewing pack I enjoyed.
🩷Tatcha dewy cream I haven’t tried but I’ve enjoyed their other creams.
🩷Bioeffect serum I have in my stash already but haven’t yet tried it, though I’ve only read good things about it.
🩷La Prairie foam cleanser really dried out my skin, but I know others who love it.
🩷Moncho Moreno hair mask I haven’t tried but I’m keen to, I love the leave in conditioner that was in last years Harrods BAC and have purchased a couple more from eBay.
🩷Hourglass ambient lighting blush I love and have had a couple. I love how their products melt into my skin.
🩷PK shampoo & conditioner, I’m one of the rare few who loves a PK product and has repurchased many. I haven’t tried the body building range but as my thick hair has been falling out a lot recently, I’m keen to give it a go.
🩷Otis Batterbee eyelash curler, I got in last years HN BAC and it broke after 2 or 3 uses!
🩷MZ Skin eye serum I haven’t tried but I’ve loved all other MZ products so far.

I pre-ordered this years Harrods BAC on the first day of release. There’s a few products I’m not too fussed about but a few more not on my list above that I’m looking forward to trying.

Obviously only buy if you can afford, otherwise just narrow it down to the things that you really want and pick them up on Vinted or eBay. It’s so easy to get carried away on these threads, I was guilty of it last year so I’m trying to be a bit more sensible this time (trying!)
