Why would Selfridges launch a calendar that’s significantly more expensive than Harrods when the RRPs are similar? That doesn’t seem right, so I don’t believe the £400 price is accurate.

Name change, I've missed this whole thread, I can't catch up. Is there any important details/releases I've missed?

I really want to buy one but none are calling my name yet. I can’t justify nearly 300 quid and get crap like red lipsticks, Sol de janeiro and CT wands. It’s like they bulk donated all these samples and have dusty vats of all this stuff to offload.

Tempted to get a Diptyque or Jo Malone but equally I don’t want hand creams and for that price you could buy some full sized things from the range that you do want.

Gah, first world dilemmas I know.

I am feeling quite underwhelmed with them all this year. I refuse to buy any AC that has anything from : The Ordinary, SDJ or The Inkey - these are perfectly good, but not luxury brands imho and make the whole calendar feel a bit less of a treat than I want for a couple of hundred pounds.
I actually use PK products and CT wands, so happy with those even tho I am in a minority for not calling them DoDs.
From what I can see I am going to have thin pickings this year. Still loving the threads though !

Just looked at the makeup colours for SNK - oh my it seems to have gone wrong for me this year. Liberty makeup colours though are bang on.

No offence taken at all! Please do correct me if you spot anything. Fragrance calendars can be a bit trickier to work out from photos, especially when it comes to bottle sizes, so I’m always grateful for a second pair of eyes ❤️

I've just realised it's a bit odd that Boots have just launched their own range of perfume and not put any of it in their fragrance advent.

I wouldn't be interested in Selfrides fragrance for 399gbp. I would buy LV Symphony instead 😍

That is a bit weird.

I’ve just had a look at the spoilers and I think it’s pretty good value, as long as you like L’Interdit. I do, but a lot of the 10mls I either already have or aren’t interested in (even 12 year old DD wouldn’t touch the Sabrina Carpenter one) so it’s probably a no for me.

So whilst waiting (impatiently) for more spoilers to be released, I decided to go back through some of the cult beauty influencer videos and put in the drawer numbers.

🚨I know some people don't like knowing the drawer numbers so I have marked the image as sensitive.

It's quite exciting though, we know the contents of 12 drawers and so have another 13 yet to be announced. The total value from these products is £658.59 👀

Right, well, I didn’t see that coming….

Email from Liberty flagging that today was the last opportunity to purchase the BAC with BD discount prompted me to go back through @MaryBDs full list. I realised I’m way more interested in the contents than almost anything that’s come out since, and probably discounted it a bit fast because I was distracted by all the hype for everything else (Harrods FAC, I’m looking at you!).

Anyway, £50 Liberty vouchers plus £20 BD credit plus £25 BD discount = £190 strikes me as absolutely brilliant value and a whole load of fun with perfume, skincare and makeup that I would never buy at full price. There’s only a very small number of products I wouldn’t use (although I doubt the Jones Road or Trinny will float my boat in any colour!) so I’m really looking forward to this!

I’m still interested in the JL FAC but already know I’m going to be offline all day on 21/9 when it’s released, so suspect that won’t happen. Ruling out the SFAC because a) price and b) I’ve realised over the last 8 months hanging out on these threads how little I know about perfume! So I’m going to use the Liberty ac as an opportunity to explore a bit more, and am planning to use the various BAC listings as the basis for some Sniff Safaris each time I’m in central London for work. Hopefully by next year I’ll have a far better idea about what I do and don’t like, and can get properly stuck in!

I think they sent a similar message last year but I’m sure the BD discount can be applied at any point not just preorders. I always have the issue that I’m on holiday for delivery so always buy mine after and still get the discount. I will be purchasing once I’m back off holiday.

I think CB is the one I'm going to go for. I'm not crazy about the make up in it so far but the skincare seems to be making up for it.

I might also pick up Glossybox depending on what else is revealed. I'm going to attempt to stop there for BACs.

Fragrance is another matter. Selfridges dependent on price and I'm still interested in what HN and SpaceNK bring out. I'm wondering if SpaceNK will bother with a fragrance one this year as last year it didn't sell that well.
