I like the look of the Selfridges fragrance calendar but have just bought the Harrods one so mustn’t be tempted into buying another! 😣

I’ve enjoyed it as well! I really like BIBBI Paris fragrances, and this one looks like something that hasn’t even been released yet 👀 I’d definitely go for this one!
Not so excited about the BAC though 😅

Hmm, i was really looking foward to Selfridges. Think ill pass, got the SDJ and the Ordinary in last years SNK. l might even go for LF too.

There’s a few mentions of The Last Mango on social media. One reviewer described it as a ‘realistic mango’ with a ‘powdery musk’.

Thanks @MaggsM First impressions of selfridges is a bit underwhelming. Apart from AB which looks like the rich cream I can’t see anything that I overly like or haven’t tried. However, will wait for the full reveal as maybe I’m overlooking something.
I really dislike beauty works and I have loads of body/make up brushes and I’m not keen of Elemis cherry balm (if that’s what it is).

Oh really? I’ll have to do a bit of research 👀 This sounds right up my street! 😍

Because I’m a sheep 🐑 I decided to look up the Verden balm and apparently it was in Harvey Nicks BAC last year. I had this calendar but do not recall seeing that balm, and if I got it, I’ve no idea where I’ve put it as I feel I’ve got everything organised now…

Okay, scrap that. I’ve just remembered as I was typing that I’ve got some stuff stashed in a box in DS room! I bet it’s in there 🙈😅 FFS, I really shouldn’t be buying any calendars this year!!

Selfridges beauty is a pass for me, I did pre-order Vogue as two duds for me, Ilia and C Tilbury.
The Selfridges fragrance is on my list to buy and hope it isn’t like the Harrods one although imagine it will be priced very similar

Ooh I definitely want the Selfridges fragrance (assuming price is reasonable)! Here's hoping its a calmer buying experience than Harrods FAC.

My priority is fragrance but I've not ruled out SNK BAC and maybe Sephora as they are consistently good. I'm a little more open to them now I've got into the swing of selling what I don't want on ebay. I'm looking out for products from ILIA, Laneige, Kosas, Patrick Ta, and Summer Fridays.

If any of you use tiktok Sophdoeslife has opened more drawers in the cult beauty advent calendar. She hasn't done a full unboxing but has revealed quite a few more products than I have seen previously. I'm still on the fence, I've never had cult beauty before but I don't wear a red lip much at all and I think on balance the Patrick ta blush might just be too bright for me.

This means nothing! 😂I bought Harrods but still tempted by this.

Although it may sell out quicker than Harrods so a lot depends on being in the right place at the right time e.g browsing this thread when it drops and not in the office or a meeting.

I like the look of the Selfridges FAC, although many of the scents are unknown to me.
I really thought I’d love the Ex Nihilo lust in paradise, but I did a sniff test in Selfridges and it wasn’t for me. Perhaps I should give it another try on my skin.

The last couple of days I’ve worn a Mango Oud from last years Harvey Nicks calendar, and I really like it.

I wish FDB Serene had made its was back into a calendar this year, I’d have loved a bigger bottle of that. Every time I wear it DS comments on it, though he also loves the Lucius.

In fact, speaking of DS, he’s just purchased a new fragrance, Xerjoff Accento. It was delivered today and I couldn’t help but have a little chuckle at the “scratch and sniff” sticker 🤣

I'm not overly taken with Selfridges Beauty but could do with a better picture before fully writing off.

I think it might also have been in the liberty men’s advent calendar

Vogue is a real standout, I like the idea of getting items that could potentially last a lifetime. That coin purse is so boujee (but really small). Can’t help but chuckle, it reminded me of SNL sketch about tiny a**bag 🤣

I think vogue for me is a no, I need to investigate fully, but I'm not keen on the jewellery and the other things that bump up it's price.
I really like the Selfridge's FAC. I can imagine this selling out very fast. On first view, I like the Selfridge's BAC too, but I need to fully investigate.
I also like the Look Fantastic spoilers.
Off to see if I can find more CB spoilers now 💃

Oh no, the Medik8 moisturiser is tempting me to the CB BAC 🙈

I had also completely forgotten about Fenwicks (likely because I’d not heard of the until last year), they were a strong contender for me last year, though didn’t make the cut in the end (it was very close though).

I really am drawn to the Dermalogica one. I’m hoping that gets discounted so I can jump on it. Price wise it is good already, I just can’t bring myself to spend that much on a single brand calendar when there’s so many others I’m interested in

I hadn’t considered CB but it’s in the running, along with Harrods and SNK.

I’m delighted with myself to say that I’m not tempted by Vogue or Selfridges BAC - phew tbh. I still think I’m leaning Harrods BAC or SNK - decisions decisions 🤣🤣🤣
