Here's hoping for lots more spoilers, bargains, discount codes, and maybe a little self-control (although judging by threads 1 and 2, that seems unlikely! 😄)

That's a decent start.

I can feel myself slipping into the danger zone now. I felt like I was doing well at dismissing some of the earlier BACs but it may well all fall apart in the next fortnight.

SpaceNK are my most hopeful (completely blindly, but they tend to align with my likes), and Sephora/Selfridges are definitely in the running with their releases so far.

Glossybox possibly given it's usually a lower price point.

Cult Beauty and Look Fantastic are in the middle of the field and less likely, but we'll see what else they reveal - LF much more likely than Cult at the moment.

No so far are all Boots (unless the skincare one really knocks it out of the park with their other reveals), Vogue, Harrods Beauty (maybe I could be tempted by the pink one, but I'm still unconvinced), Liberty, John Lewis, and any others I'm forgetting 😅 I'm not interested in a fragrance calendar this year I don't think, I have way too much scent already and particularly the expensive ones are rarely inclusive of my preferences (fresh/citrus/fruity).

Totally unimpressed with Vogue they seem to get worse every year.

Thinking back to earlier times it feels like 2021 was perhaps BAC Zenith.

At the moment F&M is in top spot & Im definitely getting a Bonne Maman one to fight over share

Pleased to report that my 17 Cosmetics and Bayliss and Harding men's calendars have been delivered from Boots :)

I have discounted JL (unless it discounts to sub£150), all fragrance advents (unless the Harrods one comes into stock or others are heavily discounted) and single brand advents (unless they are also discounted, I will be keeping an eye on the Bicester outlets).

I have purchased, Harrods beauty and Harrods hair and body. I will order liberty’s once I’m back off holiday.

I really like the look of vogue and I’m very tempted but I wondering based on others comments if discounts are available. So I will hold for the moment.

GB is also tempting based on the couple of reveals. I will be watching the full reveal and price with interest.

I’m looking forward to HN, SNK and selfridges reveals. HN was actually my favourite last year.

I know I ordered Vogue quite late last year but think this years will be more popular even though not a huge amount of live on her for it.
I tried looking at Selfridges last year and it seems it was 1 September which is quite late but maybe that was pre-order date. I am going to wait for Space NK next week and then decide between Vogue and SNK.
I have concerns over pre-ordering Harvey Nichols with all their troubles in the news and don’t fancy having to do a chargeback if they do go under.

Another one thats not for me. I love the style of it but not paying that for the box 🤣

I cant believe its only the 10th August and so many reveals. I hope they dont all come too soon and then oct theres nothing 🤣

I remember it did hang around a long time last year but I do think this one is better. I doubt it will sell out in a couple of weeks (famous last words!) so there should be time to wait for the others to reveal as I expect a lot of people in the market for Vogue will also be waiting for Space Nk etc.

It's all a gamble I suppose. I'm not ready to commit to £355 just yet. I could get Space NK etc. and Glossybox for close to that. Depends if any wow me enough.

I have all this Liberty credit and really unenthused about the advent. Hoping they do a mens one again.

I like this year’s Vogue; the coin purse could be quite handy and I’d love to try that Verden balm. However, F&M excited me way more, so did Harrods. Thus, probably that’s a no from me.

You can get the Verden balm on vinted for £7 plus the rest as it was in Liberty last year.

I really like Vogue, interesting to hear it's not very popular here. I'd be very happy to have something that only adds minimally to my existing beauty stash and genuinely like a lot of what's in there. Agree that the peachgasm and Colorwow are lows, but the only thing in there I actually won't use is the the peachgasm, everything else is grand.

To the pp who said the £35 cashmere socks from vogue a few years ago fell apart, that's so unlucky! I adore mine 🤣 i wore them to give birth in!

I’m relieved to say that there isn’t a single thing in the Vogue calendar that really excites me. My favourite of the beauty calendars so far is F&M and I would use the vast majority of things.

Agree. Part of my reasoning is that it wouldn't overburden me too much on the beauty front were I to get this one. Does that make it worth the extra cost compared to others? Not totally decided. It has a few things which I already own like the CT wand but those I could pass on or sell.

Totally agree with this, and OMG how on earth did I forget about Fenwick? Vogue seems like the emperors new clothes to me this year (appreciate that this is a very personal thing)

So... I am eagerly awaiting GB, Next, Neom and Fenwick. May be tempted by Anthropologie, mainly due to the discount, but even the box looks too samey for me this year.

The verden balm is really nice, highly recommend!

Thanks @MaggsM! I really like Ex Nihilo Lust in Paradise from the Harrods Scent Seeker so this looks interesting to me (or might give me the opportunity to pick up a bottle at a good price on Vinted!).

Hmm, I like the jewellery in the Vogue Calendar, so that's already covering most of the cost and therefore the rest would be more or less free under girl maths.

Problem is, I'm not sure I want much of the rest apart from the skincare. And I wouldn't buy the jewellery if it weren't in the advent calendar. Given the lack of love on here, I might leave it for now and hope it gets discounted at some point.

I've got Harrods BAC, but discovered that DH & DS spent a fortune on camera equipment for our current holiday, so I think I'm owed another one. Waiting for SNK but I buy so much from there anyway, I'm guessing there won't be anything new and exciting, but let's see in 8 days...!

Well I don't know whether to be relieved or disappointed that the Selfridges is a dud for me.
