How much have you got in your Marks & Spencer Sparks account?

Friend of mine is a fellow Marks & Spencer fan can't get on with the scheme at all. I've made it more of an effort maybe, plus I've bought quite a lot of summer clothes so I've got £27!
I'm wondering if someone has bought something massive and has got loads of money in it?

Full disclosure, I buy more food there than I might do if I had a family living at home still, and do check it to see what offers are available.
But I wouldn't buy something that I didn't want, just because there was a Sparks offer

I got one of those "you're not just any customer" gift boxes the other week, and I'm not quite sure why because although I order a lot I send stuff back. It's my only form of shopping, so I don't actually physically shop 😆😆

Similar to you. I think they made the offers quite good at the point they changed how the scheme works for Sparks offers. I bet it will become harder to stash the bonus cash. There was nothing offered this week on anything I might buy anyway. We will see though…

ShanghaiDiva · 17/07/2026 07:41

£22. Some of the offers were pretty good.

WeddingInvitation · 17/07/2026 07:42

Similar to you, and I also have an M&S credit card with £20 or so in money earned on that. I don’t like the new scheme as much as the old one… I spend a fair amount in there on food and it’s one of the few decent choice of clothes shops where I live…

DeftGoldHedgehog · 17/07/2026 07:43

Probably none. I added my card to gPay, it didn't scan on the machine and so I don't use my Sparks. And I only rarely go to M&S anyway.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 17/07/2026 07:46

How much have I got in my Rewards Folder?

0
£0
Nil Pounds
The Square Root of Diddly Squat

I do buy quite a bit on M&S but whenever I think "Oh I;m going to buy TShirts" there's not an offer to activate ( until after I've bought them)

I did much prefer the 20% off rewards TBH .
This new form is a bit shit

And I didn't get a GiftBox <sulks>

MinnieCoops · 17/07/2026 07:47

I doubt much, I hate the new system and they were already the worst loyalty card

RoseOliviaAu · 17/07/2026 07:47

I had £22 but spent some at the weekend on pants. Now I have £7.

I always have loads of offers… fruit, dairy, salad leaves, underwear, homeware. All sorts. I’ve got £10 twice.

Hellenbach · 17/07/2026 07:49

I had £8 which they took back when I returned a pair of trousers!!!

JoJuniorShabadoo · 17/07/2026 07:50

I was absolutely stunned to get a gift box. Really made me laugh

OP posts:
JoJuniorShabadoo · 17/07/2026 07:51

@RoseOliviaAu Surely, you can't spend it! It has to stay in your account in case of an emergency like the Boots advantage points

one measly £

Its disingenuous. I have bought stuff that didn’t qualify because of the way the veg was packaged etc.
Looking at my sparks now, some offers have to hit in one spend- eg £6 on butter.
£30 off £150 spend in non food over 11 days is a good one.

SilverGlitterBaubles · 17/07/2026 07:52

Not a penny, the new rewards system does not incentivise me to shop so I guess I have saved money. I am much more likely to buy shoes if I have 20% off than gaining £2 to spend in the future.

Cheersmedears123 · 17/07/2026 08:02

Quite surprised to find a tenner but I’ve just remembered activating one of the offers when I bought a new swimsuit. I don’t mind this new way of doing it but need to remember to check the rewards before I shop.

JoJuniorShabadoo · 17/07/2026 08:08

Lol @ @TheAnnoyingSatsuma. Sorry!

Increasingly now I'm just activating all of them even like £2 of Percy and Reed and I have no idea what that is

But won't be bothered by this 🫣

£0 because I spent it... I think I've had about £25 so far plus my m&s credit card rewards were another £25 , I do a little bit of food shopping in there most weeks but the big shop, but there's one near work and their fresh produce is actually good value and fresh. I've also bought all of DS' uniform for September and some holiday bits for me recently

What was in it?

mimbleandlittlemy · 17/07/2026 08:14

£29 but sadly no gift box.

JoJuniorShabadoo · 17/07/2026 08:31

I'll see if I can try and find the photos there was a handcream a packet of Colin the caterpillars and a really quite nice large tote

I have had £16 and spent it, now have £21 to spend. Had one of the Sparks gift boxes too.

Freda69 · 17/07/2026 10:27

Can’t be bothered with it - the old scheme was much better.
Waterstones have a brilliant loyalty card system!
