How much have you got in your Marks & Spencer Sparks account?

JoJuniorShabadoo · Today 07:34

Friend of mine is a fellow Marks & Spencer fan can't get on with the scheme at all. I've made it more of an effort maybe, plus I've bought quite a lot of summer clothes so I've got £27!
I'm wondering if someone has bought something massive and has got loads of money in it?

Full disclosure, I buy more food there than I might do if I had a family living at home still, and do check it to see what offers are available.
But I wouldn't buy something that I didn't want, just because there was a Sparks offer

Can’t be bothered with it - the old scheme was much better.
Waterstones have a brilliant loyalty card system!

Ah but not so good for my pants , jeggings and vegan shoes ! Grin

SheilaFentiman · Today 10:42

£10 with £6 pending and I have spent £8 already too.

Thanks for promoting me to go on - I have a £16 if I spend £80 on anything non food waiting, so might be time to stock up on pants and t shirts for the fam!

asatelliteisnttoofarright · Today 10:44

£0

i am tempted to do the spend £120 to get £24 because there are quite a few bits that I would like to get from the website!!

in fact, I’m going to do it now 😄

hamnish · Today 10:48

Nothing. Zero. The new scheme has actually disincentivised me to spend, because no offers have come up for the things I need/want, so I’m ‘waiting’ to see if they do… by which time I’ll probably have bought elsewhere.

whereas show me a 20% off everything email and I’m like Elton John in a Costco.

The more you use your sparks card the more I've found my algorithm is accurate

@RoseOliviaAu Surely, you can't spend it! It has to stay in your account in case of an emergency like the Boots advantage points

Well I thought that but then my husband told me to stop saving up and use it and so I did and now I regret it

But won't be bothered by this 🫣

I can’t even be bothered to read how it works , seems like a complete faff.
I much preferred the discounts .

How does it work? We don't buy anything from M & S except food. All food shopping is M & S or Waitrose. I don't think we've ever had anything via M & S Sparks card.

ElegantlyDressing · Today 13:50

£9, but I haven’t been in much recently. I am finding it far better than the old system which never had discounts on anything I wanted when I wanted it.;

HoldMyWine · Today 13:52

£26, I spend a lot in marks and am not happy that didnt get a gift box

SheilaFentiman · Today 13:54

@PhaedraTwo like with the Waitrose card, you activate specific offers which are time dependent, the money credits to your account rather than coming off the cost of the offer eg £6 credit if you spend £30 on beauty. You can spend the credit on anything at m and s

GardenCovent · Today 13:55

£39, I do buy quite a lot if my clothes there.
I also find their food staples very good value for money. Just today I activated an offer for £1 for £6 of cereal bought. It is just as cheap as the Tesco own brand cereal I buy and was easy to spend £6 on it.

SheilaFentiman · Today 13:56

But you don’t usually get money off with “food” more like £1 if you spend £6 on deli or wherever

WhatATimeToBeAlive · Today 13:57

A big fat zero! I can't afford to spend enough in M&S to actuallty get any of the offers.

lindyloo57 · Today 18:20

Nothing, I prefer the old way, I haven't really seen anything i want.

Go on the app before you spend, activate relevant offers, scan your card. Done.

When you want to spend, click ‘spend my points’ and scan your card. Done.

Don’t be silly. It’s a bag of sweets and a hand cream.

Don't forget the tote bag.😃I read they were given to the top spenders and some staff.

Goldpanther · Today 20:13

£74 credit card rewards
£24 sparks rewards

I do my big weekly shop in store every week, most my offers have been for food items I actually buy, like spend £130 on food, get £13 reward, or £1 reward for spending £6 on coffee/tea.

I like it, I just look every Tuesday when the offers are updated and activate everyone. I'm not going to deliberately buy something to get an offer though.

I like the credit card rewards too, I get vouchers every quarter (free coffee, £25 on home/clothing) which I appreciate and use. I'm just in the habit of doing my big shop at m&s, pay with m&s card, then pay off the credit card that week.

FishPie2 · Today 20:14

150,000 of those free bags and sweets given away. Now ended.
Those food offers for so much off £60 in a week is no good for someone who lives alone, don't buy ready meals and my freezer is full at the moment.

SheilaFentiman · Today 20:18

Some of the rewards must be earned in a single transaction and some can be earned over a period

hexsnidgett · Today 20:21

Not a penny. The offers are never on the things I want these days.
