How much have you got in your Marks & Spencer Sparks account?

Friend of mine is a fellow Marks & Spencer fan can't get on with the scheme at all. I've made it more of an effort maybe, plus I've bought quite a lot of summer clothes so I've got £27!
I'm wondering if someone has bought something massive and has got loads of money in it?

Full disclosure, I buy more food there than I might do if I had a family living at home still, and do check it to see what offers are available.
But I wouldn't buy something that I didn't want, just because there was a Sparks offer

Hi
£4 credit card rewards
£41 Sparks rewards - most earned from food shopping and I activate my offers every week

BringbackCDs · 17/07/2026 20:35

I always find that the offers arrive just after I have bought the thing that the offer is for so I never end up using the offers as I’ve already bought it. It’s such a bad loyalty system.

Lisanne55 · 17/07/2026 20:46

I have £1. I've just activated every single offer in the hope of more. I go in M&S a lot, especially for food, but never seem to spend enough on the right things.

Do you have the Sparks app?

Fast800goingforit · 17/07/2026 21:17

£1. Whoopy do!

RJnomore1 · 17/07/2026 21:17

£50. Loving it.

How much have I got in my Rewards Folder?

0
£0

The Square Root of Diddly Squat

I do buy quite a bit on M&S but whenever I think "Oh I;m going to buy TShirts" there's not an offer to activate ( until after I've bought them)

I did much prefer the 20% off rewards TBH .
This new form is a bit shit

And I didn't get a GiftBox <sulks>

Same - I've got absolutely fuck all. I'm still buying things, but just not hitting any of the limits or the offers don't apply to anything I'm actually buying. I assume they have changed it because doing it like this is cheaper.

TheDogsMother · 17/07/2026 22:02

£0. I can’t really get on with it and it’s a disappointing replacement for the previous scheme.

asatelliteisnttoofarright · 17/07/2026 22:04

It’s really not hard to earn it. Keep an eye on the app, and the more you use sparks the better it’ll be.

OneNewEagle · 17/07/2026 22:06

Not like it used to be.
I did had £15 from three different offers.
They removed £5 today as I returned a pair of shorts. I needed to spend £30 on women’s clothes. Without those shorts I’d still spent £50 on women’s clothes in one transaction so not happy.

OublietteBravo · 17/07/2026 22:10

All my sparks offers seem to be for food. They closed my local store after covid, and there is bigger all chance of me driving 10 miles to visit the nearest one. Especially as I can walk to Waitrose.

This is my situation, and with another retailer. The offer turns up hours after I have ordered. Really poor use of data.

And cash in the account? I dont even understand this. I get cash vouchers from use of my m&s credit card. Certainly not from sparks.

Cyclingmummy1 · 17/07/2026 22:15

I had £5 for any clothing spend so I bought knickers. The first pair in the pack has a hole in the lace, there were no more in store so they took the £5 back when I returned them.

Don’t be silly. It’s a bag of sweets and a hand cream.

And the kudos ...

The other weird thing about the app is I paid extra just before lockdown to have the free delivery. Really good free next day delivery for like 15 quid a year. Then they extended after lockdown and after the cyber thing

Anyway, I have the blue suddenly they reactivate it for me for no cost at all.

That sounds more useful than a free box.

Marmalade71 · 18/07/2026 05:27

Nothing, doesn’t work for me.

AppleDumplingWithCustard · 18/07/2026 06:09

Just £6 but I do have £47 on my M&S credit card.

DogGawn · 18/07/2026 06:14

£31 - we just used it on a food shop yesterday. We are loving the new award system. Seems to work v well for us!

RedRiverShore6 · 18/07/2026 06:20

£26, some of it was a dress, a bra and rousers, the rest food. We have a local one so I often use the food offers which are generally spend so much over 14 days on dairy or fruit and get a reward.

£0 in my sparks a/c , but have nearly a grand in my Sainsbury's nectar a/c ( But that is down to not claiming reward points for years )

AppleDumplingWithCustard · 18/07/2026 06:09

Just £6 but I do have £47 on my M&S credit card.

I also have an M&S credit card and it does seem to give more points now. Each month I get spend a certain amount by a certain date and get so many extra points. I have £42 on that.

Aworldofmyown · 18/07/2026 06:28

£62! Never seen a gift box though 😆

PersephoneParlormaid · 18/07/2026 06:32

I can’t stand any loyalty scheme where I have to ‘activate’ the offer. Just put all offers on my card so I benefit if I buy the thing.
