Grace Kelly bought the Irish cottage her ancestors came from and afaik Albert has visited it in fairly recent times.

I was hoping to visit Oslo next summer as there was meant to be a new museum about the Viking Age opening later this year. But that's been delayed to next November so 2028 it is then!

I imagine that the stress of her son's trial and conviction, the revelations in the Epstein files about her, and then King Harald's death, and Haakon's and her consequent promotion is a stress load that far healthier people would find hard to take.

Yes, most people outside Norway had probably never heard of MM till this year but she has the world's gaze firmly on her for many reasons now and not all positive, plus it really isn't long since the lung transplant no wonder she's not well.

I thought Ingrid's dress/outfit was very appropriate for the occasion. I wonder if she had it in her wardrobe just in case or was it something someone rushed around to find for her.

There's a picture circulating online that shows her alongside Queen Sonja in a very similar outfit at the ceremony in 1991.

It’s the official opening of the Bayeux Tapestry exhibition at the British Musuem with Charles and Camilla attending with the Macrons. Camilla and Mme. Macron both look very smart in white dresses. I love this photo to them descending the stairs together (do. you think each was inwardly singing “Where the hell is my husband!?”) 😀

Ah I am hoping to get tickets for that when the next batch goes on sale, though I did see it in Bayeux about 20 years ago.

I agree with these recommendations! I also like The Bridesmaids, written by one of Grace's bridesmaids. Also, Grace by Howard Conant and I also have the book that accompanied the exhibition of her clothes at the V&A a few years back.

The Grimaldis and Grace in particular was my specialist subject for my French A level oral exam back in the day!
